(M/n) had always had a crush on Light. He couldn't help it! Light was just so hot and intelligent! (M/n) also looked up to him. Light constantly got straight As and always thought about how he could get better at what he was already so good at. 

(M/n) was envious of the male too. He wanted to be sharp and clever just like Light. There were some things (M/n) was good at and other subjects which he was weak at. 

The young male was very good at reading emotions. Probably due to the fact that he had spent a lot of time with his father. The older used to always try and hide any negative emotions from (M/n).

(M/n) ended up being very perceptive and could tell when his father was telling him lies and when he was telling him the truth.

(M/n) had lost his father just a few months back. He had died. . . Of a heart attack. (M/n)'s father had been accused of a murder of a female lap dancer but his father had nothing to do with the incident. He merely looked the same as the killer. 

(M/n)'s family was poor. He'd lost his mother at a young age. They weren't able to get the best lawyer so his father ended up being wrongfully committed. (M/n) had been meeting his father in jail on the day of his heart attack. He had told his son that they'd found the actual culprit and that he was going to be set free. But right after he'd said that, he had had a heart attack.

(M/n) wasn't able to save his father. He died right in front of him. He had only been sixteen and needed to be cared for. He was distraught and in disbelief. He couldn't believe that his innocent father was dead. He didn't know of Kira back then. 

He was fostered by a couple who he didn't get along with at all. They couldn't get him to talk or make him happy since he was still dealing with the death of his father. He was then adopted by a male called Matsuda. Matsuda had been his father's friend. Matsuda promised to protect (M/n).

(M/n), on his seventeenth birthday, learnt that his father didn't die of natural causes. He had actually been eliminated by Kira.

Matsuda had once foolishly left his notes on the Kira case on his desk, for all to see. This was before the members of the task force had cut down due to the fear of being assassinated by Kira if they were to hunt him.

After learning the true reason of the death of his father, he pledged that day that he would find Kira one day and eliminate him. His father had been innocent! He hadn't done anything wrong and he had been so close to freedom but Kira had killed him before his father could get what he really deserved. 

He struggled so much for (M/n). Being a single parent was indeed a very hard task. Though it was hard he tried to give (M/n) everything that he possibly could.

What did he get in return for being a saint? He was murdered. He would never forgive Kira!

(M/n) was smart in some aspects and he was very useful to the task force. (M/n) told Matsuda that he was absolutely determined to help in the Kira case and he wouldn't back down so Matsuda had to ask the task force if (M/n) would be able to join. After a thorough investigation, they let him work there. 

The more (M/n) worked there, he began to become suspicious of everyone around him. Especially. . . His crush, Light Yagami. 

He noticed how the male, when talking to others, seemed to always be faking his flirtatious nature. He acted as if he were interested in the girls but if you looked closely, he was disinterested and didn't really care for them at all. 

Another thing that (M/n) had noticed that during class, whilst they watched information videos,  that he was always writing on a piece of paper. He sometimes saw names on the pages. There was a chance that Light could be Kira. . . He could be writing those names down because he's planning to kill those people.
