(M/n) couldn't believe that he had decided to do this. What was the best way to avoid Light? I know. Coming right up to him and stating that he was dating L despite the fact he knew that he had Matsuda's full name. Was this a really smart move or a careless move? He didn't know to be honest.

L suggested the idea back at headquarters. L explained this plan of his thoroughly and ended up convincing the small task force that what he was going to do was in fact safe and helpful to their investigation.

L was going to introduce himself to Light. His alias was as the famous pop singer Hideki Ryuga. So far, they'd deduced that Kira needed a name and face to kill. Using a well-known celebrity was the perfect way to test if this really was Kira. If he attempted to kill L, he might end up accidentally killing the singer, Hideki Ryuga. If he died, it would give them reason to doubt Light. Risking the life of one person was worth it to save the whole nation.

(M/n) had admitted to the members that Light had some sort of indescribable feelings for him. He didn't know how it had started. In his thoughts, he told himself it was mainly because Light was sadistic and got off on him getting angry at him. He wondered whether those feelings towards him had manifested earlier on, before he'd accused him of being Kira.

L decided that it was perfect to introduce (M/n) as his boyfriend. By being his boyfriend, it wouldn't be weird for them to be seen hanging out together all the time. L informed (M/n) that by also pretending to be his lover, he could keep him protected from Light, if he was actually Kira.

How Light would react was unknown. Would he reveal emotions he'd never shown before?. . . Who knew? From this moment forward, (M/n) was no longer allowed to be alone with Light. It would ensure that he was not suspected to be Kira's accomplice and also if Kira really was Light, he could in no way shape or form attempt to hurt (M/n).

(M/n) tried avoiding Light's gaze as he rested his head on L's shoulder. This was honestly very embarrassing. He had to try and act like L's boyfriend. . . The person who he thought of as a kind and caring older brother. . .

"Jaehyung. . ." He heard Light's voice murmur, laced with disbelief. (M/n) couldn't help but turn his attention to Light. He had never heard such a voice from him. So gentle. So hurt. He locked eyes with the male's chocolate brown ones, and he was surprised to find despair swimming in them. Light cared this much about him? He almost shook his head when he thought like that. Light didn't care. All he cared about was his idea of 'justice'.

"What?" (M/n) hissed at the older. Light had killed his father. He could never forgive him for that. He remembered the shinigami he'd seen the other day. He realised that this God of Death was surprisingly quiet. His gaze turned to the creature who flew at Light's side. He was silently observing the situation. . . What was he thinking, (M/n) wondered curiously.

"I thought we were dating. Were you really just cheating on me?" Light murmured. (M/n) was too engrossed in watching the actions of the shinigami than to answer Light. He knew that the God of Death was trying to irritate him now. He was staring at (M/n) with a smirk.

"Jae was never dating you. He was on a mission to gather information on you and evidence as to whether you could potentially be the deadly Kira. (M/n) didn't manage to discover any evidence that could relate you to Kira, so I can see the task force trusting you. . ." L muttered.

(M/n) was now glaring at Ryuk. Without even thinking about he was doing, he launched himself at Ryuk, his eyes full of anger. Both L and Light were startled. The monster moved back and (M/n) groaned as he face-planted on the ground.

"Jae-" Light began but L interjected.

"We should get going. Think about the offer, Light. I think you'd be perfect for the Task Force." L murmured. (M/n) squeaked out in embarrassment as L pulled him up from the ground, holding him close to his chest. He dusted off the particles of dirt on (M/n) before rushing him away from Light. He didn't comment on what he had done but would probably reprimand him for the behaviour later.

(M/n) found it extremely awkward whenever he was out. He always had to be with L. Together, they had to make themselves appear as a loving couple.

(M/n) had gotten many messages from Light since the day he'd tried to jump the Death God at his side. . . He seemed desperate. He constantly asked (M/n) why he left and whether he did anything wrong. (M/n) sometimes found himself in disbelief that he actually used to have a crush on Light. He never knew he could become so desperate. . .

The messages annoyed him so much, but he didn't inform L or anyone about the messages. What was the use? These messages in no way were pointing out to people that Light was Kira. It just displayed him as a distraught male who felt betrayed by what he'd done.

He was confused as to why Light was acting as if they'd been dating. Not once did he ask him out or tell him that they were dating. . . And he was pretty sure he never told Light about how he felt for him previously.

Currently, he and L were sitting on the school field. It was lunch at the moment and (M/n) had nothing better to do so L urged him to spend more time together.

L made him do many embarrassing things! For example, when they sat down together, he usually pulled him onto his lap and made (M/n) feed him desserts, sweets and strawberries. Even right now, he had him on his lap and he wouldn't let him shuffle away. He felt uncomfortable, especially due to the fact that he could feel the multiple stares drilling into them as they chilled out.

He noticed many times that Light passed by. He glared at them for a split-second before walking off. L noticed him and called him over. Light looked hesitant to but after a moment or two, he finally came over.

L suggested that they should compete in tennis together. (M/n) wanted to join in with the game. He was a pro at tennis and he wanted to beat Light, but a small glare from L made him stop from daring to ask to play with them. So, L was testing one of his theories again? What a bummer. . .

(M/n) made his way over to the tennis courts. He would be the referee of L and Light's tennis match. He slumped in the corner of the courts once arriving. He was sulkily pouting as he sat there. (M/n) let out a yawn and stretched. The young male suddenly felt a gaze on him. He glanced up, his eyes locking with Light's.

Light was thinking of something. . . And (M/n) could tell that it was bad. Light called over to L.

"How about a prize for winning the game?" He called out. L looked curious, not expecting Light to suggest that.

"What kind of prize?" He asked.

"Jaehyung." Light stated. (M/n)'s eyes widened. L didn't look surprised, but (M/n) could tell that he was startled and surprised by the sudden suggestion.

"Why exactly are you wanting my boyfriend as a prize?" L queried, tilting his head to the side.

Light chuckled and took a glance over at (M/n) again.

"I've had the delight of being blessed by his presence before. . . I just want to spend some time with him. I won't steal him away from you. I just want to spend a day with him, without you pestering us. What do you say?" Light asked. L thought about this for a moment.

"I guess that's fine then. . ." L murmured. (M/n)'s eyes widened. What?! (M/n) shot up from the ground.

"Hey, don't I have a say in this?!" He shouted out with a frown on his lips. Before Light could say anything to him, L put up his hand, giving (M/n) a reassuring gaze. (M/n) then remembered that L was most likely testing a theory of his. . . He wouldn't let Light do anything to him.

With a frustrated sigh, he flopped back down onto the ground. He placed his chin onto knees once he pulled them close to his chest. He glared at the two males who were doing their stretches before the game started. This was going to be a long day. He wondered, who would win? He'd never seen L play tennis before, however, he knew that Light was extremely good at it. Not as good as him though, but he could possibly be better than L. . .

"Let the games begin. . ." (M/n) mumbled.
