"What is this "Red Knight" you speak of?" You questioned and walked beside the blue alien girl you had met a few moments before.

"Well, it’s a long story, but one of my favorites! The Red Knight was a knight who was just like you. Her family was killed by the order of the king for treason, and her mother and father were shot on sight…”

==>Be “the Red Knight”

You are now the Red Knight.

Several years ago, your family was killed by the order of the king. He had accused them of treason, which he had been correct on, but it was his way of corruption that led your family to do so. As a consequence of that, you and your sister are alone. You are now fourteen, and she is several years younger, only the age of ten. The sun began to go down, and for you, it had begun to signal that it was time to gather food.

“I’ll be back soon. If I’m not here by the time the stars are out, hide in the bushes until the sun comes out. You never know what’s out there, alright?” You said to your sister, placing a hand on her shoulder.

“Right – I’ll stay right here until you come back, unless something happens.” She nodded as you grinned.

You nodded towards her and turned around, walking away, trusting your sister in the position that she was in. She was indeed only ten, but you have taught her things that your father did to you, and she knows how to make a weapon out of a stick. Speaking of which, you pulled out a knife that you carried around for defensive and survival purposes. Your grandfather gave it to you, so you protected it with your life. After catching a couple of squirrels, you heard a loud noise. It sounded familiar – it sounded like a gunshot. That was never a good sound, especially since your sister was all alone for the moment.

“Sister!” You shouted as you dropped the squirrels and ran towards where you left her.

The sight you came back to was horrendous. A gunshot was clear through your sister’s chest as she lied on the ground, crimson surrounding every aspect of the ground she was on. You wanted to scream, and you wanted to let the anger out of your mouth, but what stopped you was the slight breathing of your sibling on the floor. You ran and slid to her side, holding her in your arms as she coughed up blood.

“It’s okay, you’ll be fine! I will just find some herbs, and wrap up the wound okay? Do not close your eyes, and do not leave me be.” You said, the tears becoming apparent in your eyes, as she smiled up at you.

“Sister, I see mother, and father. They want me to be with them.” She managed out between her bloody teeth.

“T-Then I’ll come too! We’ll be a family again! Just let me-“

She shook her head. “No, sister, they say that you cannot come with me. T-They s-said-,” she coughed,” T-They s-said that you cannot l-let the king win. D-Do not let him continue killing us…promise that you will never let him w-win?”

You sniffled, as a tear fell off of your face and fell upon your sister. Your sister, the one you were supposed to protect, is now in your arms, dying of blood loss. Her crimson blood is all over your hands, as her breathing is slowly decreasing as she continues to live. You know she can’t hold on much longer, and slowly as well, the anger towards the king is growing. He killed everyone you cared about – everyone you loved.

You nodded. “Yes, I promise.”

She smiled and looked up to the sky, removing her hand from your face. “I’m glad…don’t let…him win…”

She slowly, and ever so slightly, continued to close her eyes as each millisecond passed. At last, her eyelids met each other and her breathing stopped. She was no longer in your world, and her heart was no longer making the noise of a drum. She was gone. Upon realizing that your only family had left you, the tears didn’t hold back. It lasted what seemed like hours, but in reality, was only a couple of minutes. You cried about your life, you cried about what you could’ve done, and you cried about what you’re going to do. You cried about your sister, father, and mother. You just cried. It was after the tears stopped when you were overcome with anger, and the want for revenge. It had begun to swell up inside you and grow as every second passed. Soon, it was all you could think about. All you felt now was that you should kill the king in every aspect he did your family. However, as much as you desired to, you first needed to bury the dead. Picking up the corpse of your sister, you moved her, and put her down, beginning to dig with your hands.
