You arrived at the scene of many surrounding you. As of right now, you are in a dream bubble and are surrounded by children, and trolls, the same age as you.
“You’re here to help me; in what form?” You ask, squinting at them, as if they just issued a threat towards you.
“I mean to reach your full potential; you need to understand what it means to travel with companions. To do so, you need to open up yourself to others a-“
“No, I refuse.” You cut the troll off, crossing your arms as you did so.
“No, wait, you don’t understand what-“
“I understand everything you just stated, but I do not wish to participate. I will not give up everything I have worked hard to accomplish for this.” You sounded cold and unfeeling, reaching your goal for your current state of mind as of this moment.
Another troll, however, stepped up and looked at you. He did not have a pleasant expression on his face, but in fact, one of pure frustration.
“Listen up you ungodly fuck, we will not be stuck in this shit forever because you didn’t want to be useful for once in your unworthy fucking life! If you don’t do this, I swear to your ancestral Jesus, I will shit out your fucking future and blow it up like the mistake it was!!!” He shouted at you, and taking a couple of breaths after to calm himself down.
“First of all, that was extremely rude and definitely uncalled for.” You said, making the troll hang his head in defeat.
“Oh my gog.” He groaned and you turned your attention somewhere else.
You couldn’t really be in this situation for too long, or else you really will end up spilling out everything you had tried so hard to keep hidden. Your initial goal was to stay away from any contact, and by talking to these people, even in dreams, tear down the walls you’ve built up for yourself. Sometimes you had to sacrifice the wealth of others in order to get to the goals you’ve set for yourself. You knew what you were refusing to do, and you knew that if you were willing to, you would die according to your ancestor. You didn’t want to die; however, you know that your ancestor didn’t either. They just ended up sacrificing themselves for their kingdom and the one they loved. You didn’t need to agree to do it. You knew, either way, you were going to die, whether sacrificial, or murderous, you were going to die, and for now, you wanted to prolong your death.
“Second of all, it doesn’t matter if I comply with your terms or not. I am bound to die. Isn’t it human nature to go into the opposite direction, completely avoiding oblivion itself? If not, then by all means, do what you must, but realize that we are all doomed to, one day, face oblivion, and nothing can change what is to come.” You stated, and sat down on the floor that you stood on. When were you going to wake up from this dream bubble?
“Damn girl, that was fucking deeper than the Mariana’s Trench. Write a book or some shit and get that out of your head.” The Dirk look-alike began to speak and you looked at him. He really did look like Dirk, and it was quite unnecessary for your emotional state. A quick sigh emanated from your mouth as you looked away from him, the old memories of your blonde teammate sneaking into your mind capsule.
“Listen (F/N), I could just fix you up right now. Sylph powers are able to accomplish that.” Aranea offered, but you refused.
“No, that is not necessary.”
“Maybe I can help?” Look, now the Lalonde was trying to help you. Everyone just wanted you to accept that you were supposed to be the heroine of the story, well, everyone except for you. “In what way were you raised?”
