Her eyes fly open as a soft gasp escapes her mouth. They dart up, and around. She's trying to remember where she is. The engine noise and the slight jolt from the plane startles her. On a plane. She's on a plane. She sighs with relief, and leans back down on the chair, and glances out the window, watching the clouds below.

"Hi," Moira greets her with a bright smile. "You're awake!"

"Hi," she greets back warily. She hasn't seen Moira since that night the statue was destroyed.

"You slept for awhile," Moira says as she takes the empty seat in front of her.

"I needed it," she thanks Moira as the agent hands her a glass of water. "and some time to think."

"Yeah, I get that," Moira nods in understanding. "I never really get alone time, especially with the higher ups always on my case."

"Must be tough," she says as she takes a sip of water. "Having eyes on you all the time."

"Eh, you get used to it," she smiles. "You only hear "a woman's place shouldn't be in the government" so many times before it just goes completely over your head."

"Seriously?" Ellie's nose twitches, and at Moira's nod, rolls her eyes, "why am I not surprised?"

"Right?" Moira laughs. "So much testosterone in one building."

Ellie laughs along despite the unease she feels about the mission.

"Your parents were brilliant, you know," Moira gushes. "They were probably some of the nicest people I've ever met."

Ellie presses her lips into a thin smile, "that's great to hear," she says.

"They never told me what they were working on though," Moira continues. "Said it was top secret, but a lot of the higher ups were in on the project."

That was ... actually news to her. Her parents never really did talk about their jobs ... when she was around, at least.

"Oh, hello, Charles," Moira looks up at someone behind her. Ellie tilts her head in that same direction to see Charles standing in their compartment.

"I think Erik wanted to talk to you earlier, Moira," he smiles.

"I thought he wanted to be alone," Moira frowns, then her eyebrows raise at his prompting. Ellie notices a strange look in the agent's eyes. "Oh, I better go see what he wants then!"

She gawks as Moira gets up from her seat, probably going to bother Erik, wherever he was sitting.

"How did you do that?" She frowns, glancing over to the man standing near her. He has an innocent expression on his face as if he were silently asking her, 'did what?' "Don't play dumb, Charles Xavier, you did something just now."
