"Daddy," Luke woke to a small, soft whisper. Groaning slightly, he turned over in bed to face his very pale daughter. "I don't feel good." Melody whined. Luke glanced over to his alarm clock to read '4;37 am', Luke sat up and lifted the back of his hand to feel Melody's forehead. "Jesus, you're burning up baby." Luke sighed, slowly freaking out inside. "But I'm cold!" Mel mumbled, tugging on the duvet.

Luke wanted to call his mum but he knew she wouldn't be too impressed at this time of a morning, "do you think we could try go back to sleep?" Luke's fingers ran through her blonde hair. "We try," Melody softly nodded, already falling half asleep, Luke continued playing with his daughters hair until she was snoring lightly.

Luke laid down, pulling Mel into his chest keeping her close.

"Luke! Get the fuck up!" Michael yelled at the top of his lungs, throwing a pillow at him.

Luke shot up, breathing heavily, "what?" He glared at his best friend standing at the end of his bed. "Melody's throwing up, I don't know how to deal with this shit." Michael sighed, eyes full of stress.

Luke sprinted into the next room to reach Melody,

She was leaning over the toilet bowl, half standing as she was too short to sit. Luke began rubbing soft circles on Melody's back, "daddy!" Melody cried, her eyes filled with tears and fear, and she instantly wrapped her hands around Luke's neck.

Once Luke made sure Melody was done vomiting for the mean time, he sat her on the vanity bench. "We'll brush your teeth, then I'll ring nana and she'll help us okay?" Luke pressed a kiss onto Mel's boiling forehead.

After helping Melody scrub her teeth and giving her face a wash Luke took her downstairs to lay on the couch.

"Spongebob?" Luke asked flicking through the channels, telling Michael to shut up and let Mel choose the show.

After hearing a small 'yes' Luke switched it on, "good choice!" Michael smiled widely, getting comfy on the other side of the couch.

"I'm going to ring mum and see what to do." Luke sighed.

Less than 20 minutes later and Liz was knocking on the door, insisting she'd come around straight away.

"Where is she?" Liz asked, giving Luke a kiss on the cheek. "Lounge," Luke mumbled following after his mum.

"She seems to have a stomach bug, it should be gone by tomorrow, don't stress!" Luke sighed in relief.

"She's never been sick mum, of course I was stressing!" He began drawing patterns on Melody's back, who was passed out on the couch with half her body thrown over Michael's sleeping body.

"And I need to talk to you about Mel's schooling, we want to go on tour again, I'm hoping for next year and Mel's gonna be 5 and I don't know what to do!" God Luke was having a stressful day.

Liz began thinking to herself, leaving Luke confused, "I kept you from school until you were six, since you couldn't be anywhere without me. You can hold her back a year, and you boys can teach her simple things with spelling and reading Luke, which you should already be doing." Liz spoke sternly with a smirk.

"She does go to day care sometimes, so she can socialise with the other kids. But I guess that could work, one year wouldn't hurt.. I'll defiantly think about it. Thanks mum, id be lost without you." "I know sweetie, I know." Liz giggled patting Luke's knee.

//

"Mike, come help me cook meatballs!" Luke heels from the kitchen. "Sorry man! Melly gave me her sickness and I'm dead!" Luke heard fake coughing and rolled his eyes.

"So ridiculous!" Luke muttered under his breathe.

Feeling a soft tug of his jeans his eyes instantly went down, landing on a very sick looking girl. "I'll help you daddy!" Mel did grabby hands, insisting Luke pick her up.

"You're still sick baby, you need to relax on the couch with uncle Mike!" Luke placed a kiss on her cheek and walked her back into the lounge room.

Walking back into the kitchen to check on the food, Luke felt vibrating in his pocket and whipped it out. His phone lit up with Holly's name written across it and he felt nervous. 'Hi Luke, I'm just letting you know I'm free on Thursday afternoon if you're still up for anything? X'

Again Luke felt like a dick because he was the one who should've texted Holly, but as always he kept getting distracted.

'Thursdays great! Sorry I haven't texted I've just been a little busy like always. Can't wait! X' Luke texted back and read it over cautiously a few times before sending it.

After sending a few more texts back and forth, Luke woke Mel and Michael up for dinner, then Mel and Luke had showers and cuddled up in Luke's bed together.

{Can you guys please let me know if you like this or not, I'm not feeling it you know?? Xx}
