Chapter 2

•Val's POV•
I woke from my slumber with a smile, most of the time I'm not a morning person, but today it seems I am. I rolled over and saw that the time was 1PM, no wonder I knew I wouldn't wake up like this if it were morning. Knock knock. Sass knocked on my door, "Ugh, come in." She walked in after hearing my voice. "Got anything planned?" Sass asked. It is Saturday, I checked my phone to see if any guys had messaged me, to see if I would meet up with them. My messages was empty, I put my IPhone 5S down and shook my head in Sass's direction. "GOOD, Maybe you, Mariam and I could go shopping?" I shake my head again, "I can't, Ty's coming back and I need to unpack all my shit. How 'bout after I unpack everything, I meet you and Mariam at the mall?" I suggested Sass nodded in agreement, "Let me just call her and tell her about it." She walked back into her room, I could hear the muffled sound of her laughing in the phone. I quickly got up had a shower, brushed my teeth and got dressed. I didn't eat breakfast as I don't most mornings just as I put on my Doc Martins the doorbell rang. The sound echoed through the house. I took my time walking down the stairs, it was probably only Sara with Ty. I opened the door and Ty ran in at the speed of lightning, his friend Jye bounded in after him except he stopped to say hello to me. I looked at Sara and laughed she soon started laughing with me. She soon left stating she had to pick up a child. "Bye" I yelled out to her, she got into her white Ford Fiesta. I closed the door and walked upstairs to find Ty and Jye playing with Ty's LEGO Blocks. I smiled at them,"Do you boys want a drink?" I asked they both nodded vigorously in my direction. I walked sophisticatedly down the stairs. Hmm yeah right, me and sophisticated don't belong in the same sentence! I thought to myself. I opened the fridge and pulled out the Sprite, I filled two plastic cups halfway with the soft drink, I took the cups upstairs to the boys. I pulled my gold IPhone 5S and saw that the time was 2:34 PM, Sass and Marium had been gone now for at least and hour and the truck was due here any minute, and Jake was bringing my Nissan Skyline over later about 5 he had told me. I walked downstairs and looked through the window to see the big green moving truck. The guy in the front seems pretty hot, so I check my hair and look down at my self. Hmm am I underdressed? I was wearing a black singlet with high waisted whiteish blue shorts that were frayed around the bottom. I shrugged and walked out with my Doc Martins comfortably on
My feet. The LA sun wasn't as hot now it was autumn, there was a coolies breeze making goose bumps erupt on my arms."Hey" I greet the man who simply nods his head in greeting, he starts grabbing boxes out of the back if the truck there is about 15 boxes for me and probably 9 for Ty. I soon have all boxes inside and the truck man has left, its 3 PM now and Marium and Sass still aren't back, but I'm not worried.

"TY!" I yell out to my 5 year old son "WHAT!?" He screamed back at me "Come downstairs please!" I yell not as loud as before but loud enough for him to hear me. "Yes?" he asks in the most adorable voice. "Is Jye sleeping over or do you want me to drop him home on our way to the mall?" "His mum said he could stay the night if he wanted to and he packed a bag just incase." He stated smartly to me "Okay then, both of you can put some shoes on and meet me out here soon." Luckily they had taken Mariums car so I could use Sass's car but sadly it didn't have any car seats for the boys, oh well it's just for today. "BOYS!" I yelled out I them soon after they showed up at the door, I lock and close the doors and climb into the driver seat with both boys in the back discussing battle strategies to get into the kitchen for a 'midnight feast' I laughed to myself at their eagerness. I put my phone on charge and blasted Ed Sheeran's Small Bump through my speakers on repeat,I soon pulled up outside the mall, right near the entrance if Starbucks. "Oh mum can we pleeeease get hot cocoa with cookies pleeeease?" he begged as soon as he saw Starbucks. I guess I bring him here to often. Oh well, "Maybe but after we se Aunty Sass amd mums new friend, Mariam." I tell him "And I want you on your best behaviour, got it." I told him with my eyebrows raised. He silently nodded his head and shrugged his jacket on, he had the same leather jacket as me but obviously his was smaller. My red curls were sitting on my shoulders and down my back, my hair was at least down to my waist, I loved my hair and the shortest I ever cut it was when I was 5 and I had it cut to my shoulders. We walked into the entrance, I gasped.
I wish I wasn't so clumsy.
