•Val's POV•
"Want anything?" I asked Jake, while watching Ty carefully packing his backpack that had a picture of Spider-Man on it.
"Have you got everything?" I asked Ty. he scrunched his eyebrows and nose adorably and slowly nodded his head, I looked down at his overly packed Spider-Man bag, I turned back to Jake expectantly as Ty walked into the hall to wait for Jye's mother, Lucy to get here. "Coffee, you know how I like it." He winked after saying this, I rolled my vibrant green eyes and flicked my long, red, curly hair over my shoulder, walking back into the kitchen and boiling the already warm kettle, I filled a mug with sugar and coffee beans, softly humming Act my Age while dancing (very weirdly, I might add)I poured the hot water in while stirring it. Just as I was about to walk into the lounge/foyer area the doorbell rang, I gently sat the coffee down and got to the door within seconds, I opened the door to a tall dark haired and blue eyed, woman who looked to be in her early 30's, her hair dyed, roots showing slightly, her forehead creased with worry lines and cheeks lined with laughter, I assumed that this woman was Lucy. I smiled a smile full of teeth, "Lucy, Ty's sitting right here waiting for you with Jye." I said with pleasure, I looked over my shoulder, raised my eyebrows at Ty expectantly. He elbowed Jye in the side, Jye looked up and over to the door, then running as fast as his little legs would go, he jumped and wrapped his tiny legs around Lucy's waist, cuddling her, nuzzling his face in her neck. She smiled and kissed his forehead and put him down. I held out my hand for Ty as Lucy had parked across the road. Ty grabbed my hand after throwing his bag on his back, Ty and Jye started talking and playing in the yard. "Lucy, you're early." I state, I look down at my phone to see it's only 3:20. "Oh, yes I know. I had to run to the chemist, so I thought id pick up the children on my way." she said with a smile, I nodded my head understandingly, and
I heard a high pitched squeal from inside, Lucy raised her eyebrows but I have her a look that said 'Don't worry about it' she nodded and waved, Ty ran up and kissed my cheek goodbye. The silver car drove away as i ran inside to check on Jake. I slowly walked into the lounge room, I turned the corner as saw Jake cowering under a blanket with Insidious Chapter 2 paused on the screen, "What?" I asked impatiently, "Her face is super creepy." He whispered, staring at the screen, I look over to see that I had paused Insidious when Parker Cranes mother was about to slap him, "Oh yeah sorta" I shrugged my shoulders. "Sorta? It's the fucking creepiest thing I've ever seen!" Jake exclaimed, "Well, I quests we'll have to have a movie marathon, we've got," I look down at my phone and see that it's only around 3:30 PM "Yeah, we have enough time to finish watching Insidious then we can watch Mama and The Conjuring, before we meet the new neighbours, we're having tea over there tonight by the way." I told him, by the time we finished the movies it would be 6 or 7, Mariam said to be there by 6:30-7 so we'll go after the movies, I prayed the remote out of Jakes hands, I pressed play on Insidious Chapter 2 and watched as Parker Crane attempts to strangle Renee, but gets hit with a baseball bat, by his son. The movie soon finished and when one ended, we started another, we watched The Conjuring. Sass came home halfway through The Conjuring, she went upstairs for half an hour and came back down saying she was going to Mariams now instead of later. I wasn't really paying retention and I nodded my head, Mama has just finished and I was crying. I threw my jacket on and opened the front door, looked at my reflection in the mirror right next to it, "JAKE!" I called for him, he jogged up to the door and we departed walking about 10 metres to Mariams house, I knock on the door and it was soon opened.
I wish I could watch more movies with Jake.
