Watching the Frat boys from the corner of my eyes, I put my turn signal on at turned down the street of Gracie's and Lucas's body shop, counting the shops until I came to the 7th on the left side on the street.
Pulling out the keys of my perfectly parked motorcycle, the Frat guys parked across the road from me, walking over to them, I pulled out a cigarette, I never smoked around Ty, but if I was here then it was ok.
Letting the smoke cloud around my face, "Why are you pretty boys following me?" I questioned the frat boys after the smoke had subsided a little from my face, smirking one of the boys looked at his friends and spoke up, "Well who wouldn't follow a sexy girl like you babe." I laughed, and slowly moved closer to him.
Putting my long nailed fingers on his chest, softly, he body leaned back onto his open door, slowly moving my hands and fingers toward his shoulders, I pushed him down and into his car.
Waving and winking I walked across the road and into Gracie's place, the close sign flicking around as I walked through the un-locked door and waited at the counter until Gracie or Lucas come downstairs.
I faintly heard the sound of retching upstairs, the. The hoarse voice of Lucas called out, "We're closed, we'll be open in a couple of days!" Walking upstairs slowly I knocked on the bathroom door, "Lucas? Is everything okay?" I asked through the door.
"Val! Thank God you're here!" He opened the locked bathroom door, hugged me and pulled me inside, "Gracie has been demanding me to call you, all day! She's been needing to tell you something, it's really important, bye have fun!" He yelled as he walked out the bathroom door and closing it. walking over to Gracie who was leaning over the toilet, her face was pale, she had dark shadows under her eyes, but the most obvious thing was her stomach.
It had quite a noticeable bump, she smiled up at me, "Hey Val," she spoke in a tired voice and smiled an exhausted smile "Can I tell you something?" I nodded with a smile already on my face, "I'm pregnant!" She squealed in excitement and we hugged, "And Lucas asked me to marry him, straight after he found out, I'm ENGAGED!" If it was possible to hug each other tighter, we did.
"And I wanted you to be my Maid of Honour."
Before my mind could even comprehend what she had asked me, I found myself nodding my head vigorously at her, with tears welling up in my eyes, Grace had been my friend since I had moved here, she used to work at Ty's school, so we became very close. Other than Sass and Jake she and Lucas were the only ones that knew my secret, and I trusted her beyond anything, it was obvious that she also trusted me just as much. Lucas finally walked and smiled at the both of us sitting here, crying and hugging, next to the toilet. I never usually cry, but it was a special occasion.
I wish that I had come to visit earlier!
