This ability to have
a quickened pulse,
or a flushed face,
a stammer after a measured laugh,
from someone's presence
even after a heartbreak,
is what makes a fisherman trusts his senses.
He could drown,
or get lost in the open water,
or go home without a catch
but does he stop and do his senses waver?
Maybe a little bit, when a storm comes, but yes,
he still goes back to the water to fish,
hopes of a good catch,
and dream that the ocean still has lots to offer.
The fisherman is in love, and that's why he trusts his senses.
