Williams was in his office staring into space instead of working. He wondered what would have happened if Tola hadn't arrived at that moment.

Would he have kissed her? Or would he have been back to his senses? He doubt that though. Francine,he mused. She was just so pretty, comely, sexy, brilliant,... He was jolted out of his reverie by his boss.

"Williams, miss Grande wants to see you." His boss said standing at his doorway. Miss Linda Grande was the only he has ever lost her case and that's her fault.

"No problem." He replied, sitting straighter while she came in. She was dressed in a fancy dress, too much frills. She was always dressed up in too much frills. He wonders where she gets money for clothes, since she's not working and want to suck her ex-husband dry by claiming she doesn't have money,, ladies eh.

"Good morning,Barr. Williams."she said before sitting on the visitors chair.

"Good morning." He replied calmly.

"I came to see you about appealing to the appeal court."

"You want to appeal?" He asked clearly dumbfounded.

"Yes,after all you now know what I hid from you. So you'd be able to research better. Your boss told me what happened."

"What I meant was if you'd told me, I would've represented you. I have my ethics.l guess I should tell you this,if you appeal you might end up losing full custody to him. If I were the judge, you wouldn't have any custody at all."

"I'm going to pay you,, you know." She said glaring at him.

He became furious. Did he say he is poor or what? He is sure that the money in his account would beat hers hands down. He decided to play it cool. He stood up and went to his window and looked outside through it, then said," this meeting is over."

"How much do you want? I'll pay it."

He was shocked and looked at her." Why do you want their custody?"

"They're my children, you know."was her sullen reply.

He went to his door and said,"so you want to continue beating them."

"Of course not, I want to show them love and care."

"You have their custody sometimes, you can prove yourself then."he said genuflecting with his hands for her to get out.

"That's not it. I reealllly waaant tto makke uppp forr mmyy mmistaaakes." She stammered looking at the floor.

"It's too late, miss Grande. You can look for another attorney. I don't need to add another loss to what I have. Please get out."

"Are you losing your touch, Barr. Williams?"

"Maybe,"he replied hastily."just get out."

She stood up and went to him." There's no lawyer like you, Barr. Williams."

"There are many lawyers better than me. Get out." When he saw that she was making no move to get out, he pushed her out and locked the door.

He doesn't believe she means good to her children." A pest." He said out loud before returning to his work for the day, all thoughts of Francine forgotten for the moment.

. . .

The office operation today was different. Firstly,Teni didn't come. Secondly, the girls were just coming and going to the conference Hall while Favour just stayed there.

"What's going on,"she asked when Daniel came to the staff to for the umpteenth time.

"Oh! you don't know. We'd forgotten. Teni is in court today so we're waiting the case on the satellite in the conference Hall."

"Can I go?"

"Sure. We thought you knew but wasn't just concerned."

"Of course not,"she replied and ran to the conference Hall.

The guys just said an "oh"when they saw her while Favour looked up and continued watching the hearing.

Teni is good, she thought as she watched it. She argued constructively and didn't object until it was necessary. The way she carried herself in the court was superb.

Wow, this watching of cases on satellite is beneficial oh. There are tips she's getting from Teni, she realized.

The case was an interesting one. A poor family was suing an insurance company for not paying the hospital bill of their son when he was ill and they didn't miss any premium.

Francine became confused and asked,"I'm sorry but why does the insurance company not want to pay them?"

It was Favour that answered and this time, politely." They just thought the poor family won't have money to sue them."

"The case has been dragging on for months but we think the judgement would be given today." Austin added.

"But how were the poor family able to pay premium and lawyer fees?" Francine asked still a bit confused.

" The health insurance was for the poor and the company was collecting a ridiculous low amount from many poor people and they were saying it's for charity. This isn't their first time of them refusing to carry out their own part of the agreement but this is the first time they're carried to court. Teni agreed to collect 10%of their settlement by the insurance company if they win and if not, no gain." Favour narrated.

"That's nice, I pray she wins in Jesus name."Francine prayed.

"Amen." Everyone chorused.

Tola barged in just as they said amen"any news,"she questioned.

"Not yet." Ayoola replied and she left.

Not long after Tola left, Teni client won and was given a large sum of money than was expected.

Her colleagues were so over joyous that even Francine and Favour hugged. That starts the ending of jealousy.

Tola was told about it and also joined in rejoicing with everyone.

Not long after everyone had returned to work. Tola congratulatory sounds was heard from the staff room meaning Teni had arrived.

She came in an elegant black suit and a front slitted long skirt showing off her legs. She looking gorgeous than ever.

Favour was the first to greet her.she hugged her and congratulated her, followed by the guys. They gave her a one-sided hug and she was smiling. Her face sparkled. So, this was how she looked when she won hers too, she thought.

Suddenly, she was the one left to congratulate Teni and she did it smiling,"congrats Teni, you were great."

"Thank you."she replied and went to sit."I'm so tired." She said facing Favour.

"That guy was so good. I'd a hell of a fight trying to argue against him. The guy is a good defense lawyer, I swear."she took the drink Favour offered her.

"But you were better." Francine jumped in.

"More or less like the case was a bit simple."she said with sarcasm.

"Yees,"Favour drawled,"but the guy was good and you still beat him."

"Whatever, there's no use arguing. As far as I've received my 20 million."

"Waoh." Ayo burst in,"and how much is my share?" He asked suddenly into in their conversation.

"Share ko, share ni." Favour hissed.
