chapter 15: Introducing Tony

Ademuyiwa and co. law chamber was now bigger than before. It now had some new employees. Francine now had her office and would soon be eligible for partnership in the firm. Williams was now a partner in his firm.

She was going through some files in her office when the intercom rang.

"Yes,"she said after picking it from its holder knowing fully well it was Tola,who was now a PA to her.

"Somebody wants to see you."Tola informed.

"Does this somebody have an appointment?"Francine queried.

"No and this somebody is a guy called Tony who said it's very important he sees you."was the reply she got from her PA.

"Alright, send him in,"she said nonchalantly since she didn't have much to do. If only she'd knew the impact he was going to have in her life, she would have sent him away.

She was still going through her files when she heard the knock.

"Come in,"she said and saw an pretty guy entering. He was everything Williams wasn't with his cute babyish looks and prettiness unlike Williams rugged handsomeness. Omigosh! she was drooling, she thought with dismay. As she stylishly wiped her mouth, she caught him wink at her.

He would also be a flirt, she thought.

"Have a seat,"she said when she noticed he was still standing.

"So what can I do for you?"she asked after he has taken his seat in a serious posture.

"Well,"he started before telling her about a girlfriend he had that had suicidal instincts. Anytime, he decided to break up with her, she threatens to stabs herself, cut her wrist, take overdose,hang herself, anything that can kill Sha. Many attimes had seen him taking her to the hospital when she actually goes through with her threat. He was always lucky to find her early or she does some of her stupid tantrums in his presence.

So, he accepted his fate and continued dating her that when she's tired of holding him down she'd leave him,after all ladies aren't supposed to get marriage very late unlike guys. So he waited patiently even when his parents pressurised him to get married, he just ignores them until this fateful day.

He came home from work earlier than normal only to find her in bed with another guy. He was very furious. It's not that he was faithful to her since he's stopped fucking her but she's the one that wanted the relationship by hook or by crook.

The guy she was sleeping with ran out of the room naked. Tony immediately broke up with her. She pleaded with him but he refused.Before he knew what was happening, she took out a knife that seems to materialize out of the thin air. He was annoyed at her erratic behavior and felt that if he doesn't free himself from her now, he would never get to do that,so he stabbed point of story, she died and her parents are dead set on suing him.

Hmm, this was a tough one, she thought, especially since he really did it. She knew the best thing to do was to plead guilty in terms of temporary insanity but....

"Please, any amount you want, just represent me."he said looking helplessly and unknowingly cute to Francine.

No wonder the other girl couldn't leave without him.

She felt a hint of pity for him,"you should have filed a restriction suit."

"I know that now. I made a lot of mistakes with her, my first was dating her and now I'm in trouble."he tapped his forehead incessantly.

Awwwwnnnn, that's so cute was the thought that flew into Francine mind until she remembered Williams and felt that she was the one in trouble. She closed her eyes and told herself a quiet'focus' before opening her eyes trying to manage the best expressionless and emotionless look, she could.
