Chapter 4: Genevieve visits

Francine was tired and excited when she got home because of the case.As Genevieve opened the door, she was shocked and very happy to see her sister.

Genevieve hugged her tightly despite her feeble protest at being crushed so tight."Long time no see, missed you a lot. I can see that your work is treating you so well for you to be looking this radiant."Genevieve gushed.

"Thanks darling sis but I ve got to sit.l m feeling so tired." She said sitting down. She has missed her sis a lot but she can be a pain in the ass sometimes.

Her mom came into the sitting room and asked"how was work,darl."

"Fine mum, where is my food?" She queried.

"On the dining,"Genevieve bursted in.

"But she's got to freshen up first."

"Mum, not today."she grumbled walking up to the dining nonetheless. She's very tired and her mom is talking about freshen up.so funny a woman, she mused. Her mum held her hand just before she took her first bite.

"You arent eating that food until you freshen up." She said sternly.

"Mom! I m hungry. When I m through, I promise I will freshen up."

"No, you stand up now and go and freshen up."

She got up and left the dining room angrily for her room. Well, she wouldn't be coming back even if her mom begs her.

Genevieve turned to her mom immediately after her sis left." What was that for mum? she was very tired."

"I was teaching her cleanliness, that's what I was doing."

"Hmmmmm,it wasn't as if she said she wasn't going to freshen up mom, she said later."

"So, she should eat with germs."

"But she could just wash her hands and freshen up before she sleeps." She said exasperatedly before leaving to console her sis.

Back in the room, Francine was angrily arranging her bed, getting ready to sleep without even freshening up. She was about to sleep when Genevieve entered the room and Sat on her bed.

"Get up Jo, I want to sleep." Francine said angrily."

"So you won't come downstairs for your food." Genevieve said in a cajoling tone.

"I'm not hungry. I want to sleep."

"But you were singing a different song when you came in." She said pouting.

"And my tummy and my eyes are now singing a different song."

"Come on, I know you are still hungry."

"Mummy is very annoying. I come back from work completely famished and the next thing she says is freshen up.She didn't even ask me how was work and do you know what, I just had my first case today.That's even why I'm extra tired." She said furiously.

"Congrats big sis," she said before hugging her sister." so how much is the pay." She asked excitedly.

Hmmmmm, trust her sis to ask that one ."it's 50 Milla." She said wiggling her eyebrow.

"OMG,"she screamed, momentarily stunning her as she jumped from the bed.

Francine slept on the bed immediately refusing to let Genevieve sit on it again which left her to sit on the reading chair.

"Any deposit,"she asked eagerly.

"25 m, I would go get a house very soon."she said seriously.

Genevieve nodded"I understand, parents can be very annoying. So big sis anything for your girl."She teased.

"Which gal?"Francine replied answering her back in kind.

"Me now."she said standing up.

"Go Jo,"she said laughing at her theatrics. Her sister has always been a drama queen.

"You won't do that to me so. I can kneel if that's what you want. Just give me a little cash." She said pleadingly.

"I have sent it to your account."she told her while checking something on her fone.

She saw the alert of two million on her phone and she hugged her sister again.
"Thanks so much, big sis I am so grateful.."

"You are welcome small sis. so if you don't mind, I want to get some sleep."she said sleepily.

"Not until you come and eat." She said defiantly.

"I'm not getting up,"she said with an air of finality. No sooner had the words come out of her mouth that her sister came to tickle her which sent her running to the dining room.
