July 23rd, it was Cheryl and I's annual sleepover bash. After the death of Jason we had skipped the past two or three sleepovers because Cheryl of course needed time to grieve. She took things really hard like any twin would but after she got herself under control she managed to want revenge on her brothers murderer. To avenge him in a way. even though I attempted to explain to her that it was all just part of the grieving process.

We were sprawled out across my King sized bed in my room, a silk pink blanket across the both of us watching reruns of Supernatural. Cheryl rolls on her side to face me, eyebrows scrunched. "You'll never believe what I heard out of Chuck Claytons mouth." my nose scrunches up in disgust. "Hopefully that he will never speak to us again." I say pretending to shiver at the thought of him. Cheryl throws her head back, strawberry blonde hair flying over her shoulder. After the moment of joy she turns back to me, her serious face on. "No, but some girls can dream. He said that he heard that Reggie heard that Mr. Weatherbee said that Southside high was getting shut down."

I lay there a moment processing what my best friend had told me. "What?" I ask like the poor girl was insane making her blow her bubble gum and pop it loudly nodding at me. Throwing my head back I rub my face and blink up at my ceiling. "Cheryl, what are we gonna do?" I ask turning my head towards her. "I don't know cha cha, but we'll figure something out." she states running a hand through her curled hair. "I hope so Cher, I hope so." I say gripping onto her hand.

-back at school-

"I can't believe this bullshit." Reggie huffs leaning beside me against my locker. Slinging my bag over my shoulder I begin walking down the hallway towards an angry looking Cheryl, Reggie in tow like a  lost puppy. The three of us walk down the stairway to see a bunch of Southsiders in our main hallway, behind the one and only Veronica Lodge. Archie was standing beside her looking confused as ever when we strolled up to them. "-and I welcome all of you to Riverdale." Veronica smiles brightly at the teens making me roll my eyes. "Listen up ragamuffins, I will not allow Riverdale's above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms the overcrowded with... underachievers. Do us all a favor and find some other school to debase with your... hard scrabble ways." she smiles making an angry pink haired girl step forward, serpent jacket on display. "Why don't you come over here and say that to my face?" she says giving Cheryl a pointed look. Before I can step in Cheryl grins. "Happily, queen of the Buskers." They both step forward before both Cheryl and I get pulled back by Reggie who was giving the Serpents a hard glare. "Okay, guys." Archie Andrews steps in backing me up, my temper beginning to flare at the girl with the dying flamingo hair.

"Got something to say chica?" She grins before I rip of Reggie's glare quickly walking towards her. We stand face to face waiting for one of us to throw the first punch, the hallway deadly silent.  A boy standing beside the girl steps in backing his friend up. "Stop Toni." He whispers like I couldn't hear him making me roll my eyes. "Is there a problem princess?" He gaze shoots to me. He lets go of the girls arm laying his hand over my shoulder. Scoffing a shadow towers over me, quickly realizing it was Reggie Mantle. "Keep your filthy Serpent hands off of her Sweet Pea." He warns, a glint in eyes that made me know playful Reggie was gone. "Reg." I stop him laying a hand on his chest, shrugging off the boys hand.

"Sorry princess, didn't know you had an attack dog." The serpent boy smiles at me winking. My whole body shivers in disgust as his eyes rake over me once again before pushing his way through the hallway, the girl following behind. "Should've punched her while you could babe." Cheryl pouts rubbing my shoulder to comfort my anger.
