"Take seats." The teacher who I couldn't be bothered to remember the name of starts, making me roll my eyes and walk away from Cheryl. Setting in the front seat I cross my legs leaning my chin onto my hand. Ever since we saw the odd squad at Pop's the other day things have felt even worse than when Jason died. Betty Coopers eyes always darted around like someone would catch her in the act, newly reunited Jughead had been even more sassy than usual, and Archie is still confused as ever expect now he has the red circle shit. Veronica Lodge, the most annoying girl in this school, and that's a lot coming from me, the queen of annoying, is still... annoying. Shocking I know.
Betty thinks she's the most bad chick around and considering I don't know what they're up to, she very well could be. Of course, I'm not about to tell Cheryl that because that would pop her huge ego balloon and I don't think that's the best thing for her right now considering everything that went on with her twin. Cheryl is another one who thinks that she can help with the red circle stuff and when Veronica Lodge was handing out t-shirts with their logo on it, she was all for it. Handing them out to all of the River Vixens and saving me one to force onto me later. Which, of course, she did.
-earlier at Pop's-
"This thing is itchy." I complain to Cheryl just trying to get her leave the familiar diner. "Oh stop being a baby A." Cheryl flips her fiery hair over her shoulder making me sigh. "Cher, do you really think this is a good idea? Wearing a Red Circle t-shirt in public, when Archie was dumb enough to make that video getting people hyped up like he can protect us." I explain my concerns to Cheryl making her stop and furrow her eyebrows. "You're really scared aren't you?" her voice softens. Nodding my head slowly she sighs leaning back. Reaching into her bag she pulls out her jacket she hand on before the passing out happened at school, handing it over. Slipping her bomber jacket over the shirt I button it up and sigh in relief. "Thanks C." I lean back running a hand through my jet black hair.
Setting in silence for a moment the bell chimes above the door making our head snap back. The diner goes silent as the Serpents walk in, leather jackets shining in the neon lights. I lean over the booth seat trying to get a better look at the intimidating kids. The one from the school, the weirdo who called me princesses eyes flicker over to me, a sickening grin spreading. Shivering I turn around and give Cheryl a look. Her unblemished face scrunches up at the gang. Slowly she stands up straightening her cherry red outfit. Strutting over, heels clicking against the tiled floor she stands right in front of Toni. Rushing behind my eyes go wide once I see the boy up close, and not through my rage filled front.
We stand face to face, his smirk widening. "It's nice to see you, not so angry princess." His breath fans against my face, mint with a hint of smoke scents flow through my nostrils. The scent was pleasing, not that I would ever admit that to the boy. Snapping out of his trance I scoff crossing my arms over my chest. "Don't call me that." my eyes never leave his. "Ah, there is my favorite sassy attitude." he remarks knowing it would tick me off. "How about you-" I get cut off as Cheryl gets shoved into my side. Breaking eye contact we both watch our friends duke it out in the middle of Pop's.
"Cheryl." I pull her back, gripping onto her shirt. "Toni come on." his tone softens once again making me look at him. His face was scrunched in concern, his eyes lighter than earlier. It was mesmerizing, like I was trapped. Cheryl steps behind me watching the pink haired girl.
