Shoving past kids in the hallway I push into the Common room to find Reggie setting there, surrounding by jocks. "Reginald!" I stand behind Moose waiting for the oblivious boy to move.
"Aurora." He smiles standing from his spot. "You're a real piece of shit do you know that?" I get straight to the point making the smile on his face fall. "What are you talking about?" He shoves his hands in his pockets stepping around his friends to speak to me.
"Oh don't play innocent. One of the Serpents told me you were telling everyone how "easy" I was." Sweet Pea flashes back into my mind, the words falling out of his mouth made my anger boil."Hey, you know I wouldn't do that." He reaches out to touch me before I slap his hand down. "Yeah, you would. You're a real jerk Reginald. I trusted you." My voice cracks. I mean come on, he's been my friend since we were kids.
"Aurora." His voice comes out soft and subtle, his hand gently touching my cheek. Attempting to jerk my face away he grips on. I stand there for a moment, tears streaming down my face before quick footsteps are heard behind me. Reggie's face hardens before letting go stepping around me. Turning I see Sweet Pea standing there, the same terrifying look on his face that Reggie had on his own. "Reggie, stop." I step between them attempting to cut them off before they even start.
"Go back to the South side where you belong you filthy snake." Reggie shrugs his letterman jacket off throwing it to Moose who caught it skillfully. Sweet Pea scoffs leaving his Serpent jacket on to fight. "What the hell were you telling her I said?" He shoves Sweet Pea lightly, stumbling back he catches himself furrowing his eyebrows.
"I'm telling her what you did say. Don't you remember? Or is your brain not big enough to think back?" He adjusts his jacket stepping forward into Reggie's face. Reggie throws the first punch knocking Sweet Pea back but soon they were both on the ground getting punches in. "Stop it." I yell at them before looking over to Moose. "Help me." I scream trying to pry them apart.
He moves and within a few seconds they were apart, both bloody and bruised up. "You. Stay the hell away from me Reginald Mantle. You. With me. Now." I command to Sweet Pea walking out of the common room, his quick footsteps behind me.
Dragging him into the girls bathroom I set him on the skin running water on a paper towel so I, or he could clean his cuts. He holds his hand out looking at the damage that was done, his knuckles were red and bleeding down his hands. Scrunching my nose up I hand him the paper towel standing back.
Moving his hand across his lap he flinches when he has to close his hand around the paper towel. And quite noticeably too. Scoffing I snatch it from his hand wiping up the blood. "I could've handled it ya know? You didn't have to pull us apart." He says leaning his head back against the glass mirror. "Oh please. You would've killed each other, or at least Reggie would've died." I dab at the cut watching him wince and curl his hand, finger nails digging into his palm. "Stop it." I huff opening his hand.
Staying silent he watches me scrub at his hand. "What?" I snap looking up at the now, shocked boy. He slowly grins. "You're hot when your mad." He says cheekily watching my face curl in disgust. "And you're an idiot." I huff out slapping his hand. Groaning he rubs it looking pained in the face. Balling the paper towel up I toss in the trash can walking out before I could clean his face.
"Wait. Did I say something wrong?" He huffs following me out of the bathroom, getting strange looks from passing kids, to which I flip them off. Sighing I stop, turning to the boy. "Don't be disgusting, don't hit on me, and most definitely DON'T call me princess." I say before walking off once again.
"...alright princess."
