NICO'S POV

Nico knew he had recognized him. The shape of his head, the mop of brown hair atop his head, and his cold, blue eyes. However, John just stared at him in confusion.

"I've... I've never drowned anybody. I swear," John stammered. Then Nico understood. Hades must be punishing him for his wrong-doing by making him live another life. One that would end in immense pain.

"Must be the wrong person we have then," Percy intervened, shooting a glance at Nico.

"Yeah. That must be it. I apologize," Nico said, barely managing to keep the rage out of his voice.

"Er, it's alright?" John said skeptically.

"Thank you for showing us the way. We'll just be going now," Percy said and grabbed Nico's hand. His boyfriend dragged him a safe distance away from John then turned to face him, his sea-green eyes smoldering with rage.

"What were you thinking?" Percy hissed. "That happened in the early 1900's! The real John must be long dead by now."

"He is," Nico explained, "but that's him. Hades must have forced him to live another life out of punishment. His death will most likely be painful and long with much suffering. That is the punishment for the worst of people. John drowned an innocent boy; that is one of the worst things somebody can do in Hades's eyes." Percy nodded in understanding.

"Yes, but how can you tell it's him?" Percy queried.

"I'm a child of Hades. I can sense the rebirths of people; especially when their new life is a result of my father's doing," Nico replied. The hatred in his own voice terrified Nico, but he couldn't blame himself for being so angry as well.

"Alright, well, let's let your father deal with John's death, alright? Why don't you just worry about us having a good time?" Percy suggested, looking hopefully at Nico.

Nico sighed. He has a point, Nico thought. With a sigh, he swallowed his rage and turned to Percy.

"Alright. Let's go have a good time," he said softly. Percy smirked at Nico, a suggestive glint in his eyes. Nico felt himself subconsciously lick his lips. He wanted Percy, and he knew Percy wanted him. He was scared, but the want was bigger than fear.

Percy lead him down a million halls, a maze that's never ending (anyone catch the song ref?). Finally, they reach the door. Percy turned to Nico and smiled seductively at him.

"Let's go have some fun," Percy whispered into Nico's ear. Nico gasped as Percy grabbed his hand and pulled him into the room.
