Riley strut her way through the gym. Taken over by emotions, she could barely keep her head from swooning.
'That's what it meant: the unladen swallow; Jonathan had liked that film.'
'Jonathan and Owen...'
'See Riley? They are the same; history repeating itself.'
Riley couldn't walk anymore; her feelings were getting the worse of her. Her knees wobbled, and her brow was sweaty. She leaned onto the gigantic glass window behind for support. With a sharp stab of recollection, she realized she and Owen had chatted here; she had quiet like it then. Part of her felt guilty she did, part felt scared.
'But no; Owen's different, feels different... It can't be...'
'It can be and you know it Riles; you know it.'
She couldn't stand any more; she slumped down and curled into a ball on the ground, trying to keep her past at bay.
She wasn't very successful.
