He pulls me into his arms once again and I close my eyes as his warmth engulfs me. After a few minutes, I find my eyes shutting heavily. It's the first time I'm able to go to sleep calmly and not in tears.
*Flynn's POV*
After I found Jason at the beach trying to take his own life, I stopped him and brought him to my house. His entire body was covered in bruises and blood.
As soon as he woke up, I heard screaming emerge from my room. I ran as fast as I could up the stairs, only to see a terrified Jason sobbing in my bed. I comfort him in my arms reassuringly.
I finally asked him exactly what happened to him, which his response broke my heart. He was beaten senseless from a group of thugs, lost his best friend, who was also his sister, and all of his friends abandoned him.
He drifted off into the night, tightly clasped to my chest.
.
The next day, I Wake up in the same bed as Jason. I look at him and he slightly opens his eyes. "Morning sleeping beauty" I say to him with a smile on my face. "I am going to get ready for school. You're not going, though. You're staying here for a couple days" I explain to him and he frowns at me.
"Well then could you please show this to everyone?" He asks, taking out a phone. "It's Emma's phone. She recorded a message for everyone to see in case things went sideways, which they did" He says with a frown on his face.
"Alright, will do. And Jason, my mother is downstairs if you need anything. Anything at all, don't hesitate to ask okay?" I say as he nods his head and hides under the covers.
A devilish smile crosses my face as I stare at Jason. He gasps loudly and tucks his head under the blanket, knowing what I'm about to do.
I jump on the bed, being sure to avoid jumping directly on him due to his wounds. He crunches into a ball as I dig myself under the blankets once more, tickling him softly. He bursts out laughing and somewhere along the line, we end up cuddling in bed once more.
I smile at him and give him a big kiss on his forehead before getting out of bed once more and heading downstairs.
I walk down the stairs seeing my mother in the kitchen.
"Hey hun! How's Jason?" She asks, clear concern in her eyes as she looks at me."He's seen better days honestly.." I respond to her and she frowns.
"I know mom, I shouldn't have abandoned him. We all should have been there for him, but when it came down to it, we weren't" I say to her and she frowns at me again before walking towards me.
"Mom wha-" I'm cut off as she hits me in the head with her hand. "Ouch mom!" I shout, rubbing my head. "Don't say that Flynn! You were there for him. If you weren't there for him then he would be dead right now, wouldn't he?"
"I know but that was just a coincidence.." I respond and she raises her hand once more. "Ah! Okay mom, okay!" I say before grabbing my bag and rushing out the door. She giggles and walks back to the kitchen.
I walk into the school, looking for Hannah immediately. She's going to get what's coming to her, no matter what.
I find Ericka and Emily near the lockers and decide to approach.
"Hey guys, I really need to talk to you all. Where's Troy and Mark? I question them. "I'm not sure, I think I seen them at the cafeteria earlier why?" Emily responds.
