It's been one month since I stayed here. I've been learning a lot about America. Specifically, we call it USA or US for short. I manage to get to school by sheer dumb luck and it gets even better, so far I've made many friends that I didn't think it was possible. I really was missing out on a lot of things. I also feel strangely different. Not physically but mentally. I feel like there was hope and I began to believe more on faith. Thanks to Jennifer who brought me to church every Sunday. I'm starting to become a Catholic and although I'm not heavy religious, it is my favorite religion.
Anyways, me and Wilbert were ready to head out to school. For some reason, his parents didn't seem to figure that I was staying, hiding out in Wilbert's room. We kept making the excuse and coming up with lies saying we either have a sleep over or something else. I sometimes go to Rachel's house, and we have a sleepover with the girls. I grabbed lunch and ate breakfast. After pounding it we all ran out. Wilbert brought out his long bicycle.
"Hurry, get on." He spoke and I jumped behind him and he rod off. We zoomed through the neighborhood looking at the houses trees and the sky, seeing the morning sky come to life. I was fascinated with the sky and the nature here. The school doesn't open yet, but the gang usually come over to the school early, before the mob shows up. Yeah, I'll learned some vocabulary words from Jess and Wilbert, like "gang" or "mob" or any of the "cool" vocabulary. We manage to get to the school early and we hopped off the bike and walked towards the gang.
"Damn. It's getting colder." Corey rubs his arms fast, trying to get warm.
"Vell it iz October." I responded.
"Obviously." Corey shivers as he rolls his eyes.
"Why didn't you bring a coat if your so cold. Or better yet, why are you cold? I thought you said you were tough enough to stand the cold." Jess questioned sarcastically. Corey glared at her harshly.
"Hey, not this cold, like a breeze. This is fucking New York cold."
"Aww is somebody being a pussy." Steve mocked.
"Hey shut it, you assdick." Corey retorted.
"Asshdick? Vhat iz an asshdick?" I asked. Everyone chuckled.
"It's just a comeback." Corey mumbled.
"Yeah, a weak comeback." Steve called back while cracking.
"Oh yeah, we'll I'll do you one after school, you fat bitch." Corey was fuming.
"Looks like we'll have to find out, play boy. You're weak ass comebacks don't scare me." Steve stood proud and tall, with a grin.
"Alright, alright, enough." Rachel subdues the fight. The doors opened by one person and we all went inside. We got inside and stood next to the lockers and I looked at my schedule.
"Sho, first period is English, then it is Shience, then P.E, then lunch, Drama, History, and last Math." I read the classes on my schedule paper.
"I'll be with you in most classes, but remember don't hesitate to ask if you need anything." Wilbert reminded. I nodded my head.
"I know, I know. Thanks Vilbert."
"Of course. Anything." He replied.
"Did you finish your math homework?" Wilbert asked. My response sounded like I did finished my homework when really, I didn't.
"Duh...not veally. I mean I finished mosht of it, but come on, jou know no vone in zhat class finished her homevork." I explained.
"You're right. You know her." He rolled his eyes, tilting his head, at the current situation in Math class.
"Ja. Jou veren't vrong about her voice. It's sho beautiful and sho shoothing." I responded.
"Yeah. Totally." Wilbert nodded.
"Yo Sam, you finished my German homework right?" Jess asked.
"Ja. Here jou go." I brought out my bag and handed her the paper.
"Jou sure jou don't need any help. Jou know cheating iz bad."
"Just this once. Then you can help me with the stuff and I'll do it myself."
"Alvight." I spoke. The bell rang and we went our separate ways to class. I went inside English class and waited for Rachel, Fiona, Corey, and David. Sooner or later, Fiona came in then Rachel and two minutes later, Corey and David. As class started, after the bell rang, we read The Outsiders, then finishing with a study packet. I was really enjoying with the story so far and I thought it was very gripping. We manage to stop at the part where the characters stayed at a church to get away with murder, Well one of the main characters murdered a guy in the fountain, but I digress. Fiona suddenly whispered to my ear, asking a question.
"What the answer for question 25?" I responded.
"I zhink it's zhey vent into the movies, got zhe girl and zhere sheriously screw over by zhe Shocs." I mummered the answer. Corey then replied.
"Yo, no joke, Dallas should've blasted that guy with the glass bottle. Then kick him in the dick, and then take his girl."
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure he would not be living for long." Rachel rolled her eyes while smirking.
"Oh please. He's a badass. If he goes down, then he's going down as a badass when every body of the Socs is dead, then he'll be the last living man standing before he dies." We really didn't think his explanation was too grieving. I shook my head, rolling my eyes while smirking.
"Uh huh. Sure. Sure." Rachel whispers sarcastically. After trying to finish the packet, obviously it was homework, I head my way to Science class and we mainly studied heavily on plant life and all that. Fiona, Jess and I manage to finish the packet and turn it in as of a grade. PE was next and we just ran laps and exercise and I manage to be one of the fastest females in the class. Probably because the fact I ran in the afternoon while I was alone. Lunch was interesting, to say the least. The gang went outside, away from the playground and to the grassy fields where the trees surrounded the area, I was peaceful and quite nice. I made my German lunch that suddenly remembered the recipe of homemade German foods. I pass my food to my friends and they loved it, specifically it was called German Goulash with Creamed Brussel Sprouts and Späztles. Corey, Jess, Wilbert and I plan to sell some of my homemade German goods and other snacks to the school for anything we wanted from other people. As for history class, we mainly talked about regions of Africa and famous people in Africa, and starting to learn Egypt. Drama was fun since we got to create any inanimate object, like for me, I created a holy grail. Last but not least, Math, not the worst, but certainly an interesting one out of all of my other classes. I could see why the entirety of the class don't have their homework done. The teacher Mrs. Caldwell had the most soothing voice I had ever heard of from anyone ever. I sometimes look around the classroom to see if anyone was asleep. Half of the times, I gave in and slept in class, while the other half I try my hardest to not drift into sleep. But this time, I gave in and because today her voice was as soothing and relaxing as always, I immediately fell in deep slumber. The bell suddenly rang and I jolted, wide awake almost falling out of my seat.
"There is no homework so you are free to leave." Mrs. Caldwell spoke, telling the class as they all scrambled, getting their stuff and ready to leave school. Me and the group left campus and decided to go somewhere remote and quiet, away from the people and noises since they still wanted to rest, but with the nature sound that will be present. We finally decided to walked towards the Lake Hogan Farms trail and just sit on the side of the grassy hill and stare into the sky above.
"God, Mr. G can suck my fucking dick. He gets on my nerves all the fucking time." Corey spoke out, sounding very pissed and tense.
"Whos Mr. G?" I asked.
"His name is Mr. Gershman. He teaches Spanish, French, German, and Italian." Rachel responded for Corey.
"And Latin too." Fiona added.
"I have him for Italian." Marcus spoke up.
"So do I." Simon said.
"I cannot fucking believe-okay you want to know what happened? He gave me a fucking F for speaking in class, a fucking F!! When it was that fat ass, scumbag bitch, flappy ass vagina whore Harold that fucking talked his ass in class!" He screamed. We were all laughing hard, also seeing Corey's face red and fuming with rage. After the laughter died down, David was the first to speak.
"Ouch. Why don't we trash his house, see how he likes it."
"Yeah. Give him a taste of his own medicine." Jess chimes in, agreeing to the idea. Corey nods, standing up from the ground, and replies.
"That's what I was think of going to do. That ginger fat freak thinks he can get away in class, well I don't fucking think so. You wanna come with us guys?" Corey looks down at me and the other girls. Rachel shakes her head.
"You boys have some fun. I think I'm gonna invite Samantha over to my place. That's up to her, if she wants to come."
"Jou know vhat, I'll come over to jour houshe, und shtay avay from the fun. Jou all can tell me about jour shtory tomorrow." I explained. It sounded fun, but there ain't no way in hell I'm going to get caught in the act.
"Dude, it's going to be a hell of a story to tell the other guys in Spanish." Jerome said.
"If Sam's goin, then I need her for my German class. I have a test in 3 days." Jessica responded.
"I'll go too." Fiona spoke.
"Bro, should I invite Victor to help us out? I heard him saying that he had enough of Harold too." Steve asked Corey.
"Sure. He'll come with us." Corey agreed.
"I'll bring over Lucas, see if he wants to join in the fun." David said.
"Yeah. He has his VHS camera to record." Marcus explains.
"But so does Wilbert." Simon spoke out.
"It's fine." Marcus replied.
"Yeah it's okay. I'll just record it from the sidelines." Wilbert responded. I was immediately taken aback. Wilbert didn't look the type to get in trouble, even if he was hiding in somewhere remote and to where no one can see him.
"Vait, Vilbert, jour going?" I questioned in surprise.
"Yeah. Like I said, I'll be hiding in the bushes." Wilbert replied.
"So will I." Simon added.
"I was thinking of bringing over Francis, but he's staying after school." Marcus explained.
"Oh yeah, he got in trouble." Jerome added.
"Vhy? Vhat happened to him?" I questioned, leaning up.
"He got in trouble for blowing some cherry bombs in the boys bathroom. So he's staying in school till his parents pick him up." Steve explained.
"Veally?"
"Yeah." Steve responded.
"Damn." Rachel whispered.
"I think Joseph has band practice too." Rachel spoke up.
"Yeah he does." Corey replied, and 35 minutes of resting and relaxing, we all made it out. Wilbert reminded me again that he'll just watch out in the sidelines, but still won't be a part of the whole "trashing in some dudes yard," especially Simon, since he said he was too much of a pussy to do but not so much of a pussy to watch and enjoy it. That evening, Me, Rachel, Jess, and Fiona went in her house and, inside was pretty fancy and all, with a desk on the left side of the entrance, including a painting picture on the wall and a vase full of flowers.
"Mother, I'm home."
"Rachel, welcome home, and I see you brought your friends over."Rachel's mom spoke.
"You look like your in a hurry." Rachel spoke.
"Yes. I'm afraid that I'll be going back to work in a few minutes."
"Of course."
"Tiffany is at her friends house by the way." Rachel's mom informed.
"Figures." Rachel muttered.
"Anyways, take care of the house and make sure no one comes in, unless they're your friends." Rachel's mom cried.
"I know I know. Bye." Rachel spoke and her mother left. We all head upstairs into her room and Rachel quickly shuts the door.
"Sho vhat now?" I asked.
"Now, we have fun, unless the boys try to ruin our fun in that case." Rachel responds and we all gathered around the floor, talking about boys in magazines that Rachel has stashed under her bed.
"Oh yeah. Sam that German homework." Jess brought out her paper from the bag and pencils. We then worked on the problems and me teaching her spelling and speaking the words, all of the while, Rachel and Fiona stood and watch and they would sometimes ask me questions. Afterwards, we spin the bottle and we each have to eat spicy jalapeños. It was the worst. 9 hours of having "Girl Time," As we called it, we decided we needed to rest. The lights were shut off and we all got in our sleeping bags.
"I wonder how the guys are doing?"
"They're probably dead by getting caught."
"I hope Vilbert's alvight."
"He doesn't usually get in trouble in the fun like the rest of the guys are. I'm sure he's okay." Rachel reassured me.
"Ja. Jour vight." I sighed, shuffling in my sleeping bag.
"Vell, I am going to ask them tomorrow about it. That's if they got avay vith it or not."
"Yeah. Well good night." Rachel sighed.
"Night." Jess spoke.
"Night." I said and Fiona just made a noise, implicating that she said goodnight. I settled in and drifted off into sleep.
