Today is my birthday, sensing that today was the 5th, I immediately got up to wake Wilbert from his sleep. Oh, and speaking of sleeping, I no longer have to sleep in Wilbert's bed since his mother-well now my mom, bought me a bed for me and since that's was no other room in the house to call my room, and so, I shared his room. So, I now have a bed for myself to sleep in, and I am finally adopted to a stable and normal family. I knew that everything was going perfect for me. I shook Wilbert, lightly, since I told myself not to violently shake him as myself.
"Vilbert...Vilbert, vake up. Todaysh-
"BOO!"
"Ah! Vilbert! Vhy?!" I exaggerate, all of the while I was catching my breath. Wilbert gleefully smiled and laughed.
"Sorry, Sam. Here, for you." Wilbert shuffles his bed to hand me over a gift. I grabbed it, ripping the pink paper that covered whatever it was. Finally opening a box to reveal a snow globe, but it wasn't just any snow globe, it was a musical snow globe. Inside of it was a ballerina jumping with two trees.
"Thanksh Vilbert. It looksh beautiful."
"There's more gifts for you so don't thank me yet." Wilbert replies. I hummed as I placed the snow globe on the counter next to my bed. Wilbert got up and grabbed my hand.
"Come on. I can smell breakfast."
"Mmm. Me too." I muttered and we all walked downstairs. In the kitchen was our mom in the kitchen cooking up the storm.
"Happy birthday, Samantha."
"Thanksh mom. How's dad?
"He's alright. I'm afraid he's at work again."
"Didn't he say he had to travel to France."
"On a business trip yes. However, he'll be back tomorrow, but he said happy birthday to you Samantha."
"Thatsh good." I murmured.
"Hey mom is it cool we go out."
"I don't mind as long you guys finish your homework on time."
"I did."
"I'm almosh done. But I'll finish it once we head on back."
"Okay. Be careful you two."
"Alright."
"Sho vhat are ve doing?"
"I wanna find some more stuff in the fields. Corey said he found some knives and other stuff that are lying around."
"I think imma go hunting for shome pearlsh." I spoke while laying my head down on Wilbert's back while looking at the sky. The wind was crispy cold but it didn't bothered me that much. Once we passed through the forest, we made it through. Seeing the glorious fields make me feel light and free. I sighed happily while looking up at the clear crispy blue sky.
"Hey Sam, we're also going shopping too if that what you want."
"Sure. That shounds fun." I spoke as I rubbed my arms from the cold. Me and Wilbert both manage to grab some more oyster that are full of pearls and other abandoned items and booked it on out of the fields.
Time skip to the evening where I invited my friends outside to celebrate my 11th birthday. After blowing out the candles, Rachel and Jess were the first to give me the gifts. I began opening up Rachel's, getting a diary with pen and as for Jess, she gave me a black tank top with a skull on the front and with flowers and tiny moths. I thanked both of them and opened up the rest of the gifts.
"Sammy poo! Catch!" Jess cried out and I caught a frezbee.
"Vilbert, here!" I yelled and he too caught, but stumbled a little before catching it in his hands. We then passed it onto each other, having fun and laughing it out. That evening I felt tired and began pulling the covers to get some sleep.
"Night Sam!"
"Good night Vilbert" I spoke and began passing out.
