It's been a few days, I've done nothing but lay on the couch, eat, sleep, and take medication. Reich has never left my side ever since I woke up and, from what I heard, since he found me this way in my bed.
I sat up slowly from Reich's lap, stretching my arms out. I shot my arms back down to my sides once I felt pain in my ribs. I felt something by my feet, looking over to see America with his hand on my feet, head resting on his hand, fast asleep just like Reich.
I felt something slither onto my lap, looking down I saw Echo looking up at me with expectant eyes. I sighed, "You must be hungry huh." I picked her up, swinging my legs over the side of the couch gently.
I look around on the ground in surprise, all of the countries were curled up on the ground with pillows and blankets sound asleep. I couldn't help but smile, 'Dis they do this every night?'
I stood up, wobbling on my feet slightly, my legs felling like jello from not using them for so long. I took a small step, almost falling over but was able to regain my balance. It took awhile but I was finally able to get out of the living room without waking anyone or falling over like a sack of potatoes.
I opened up the freezer, taking out a blue tub using one hand. I allowed Echo to wrap around my upper arm so I could open of the container. I opened it up to see a tub full of dead mice. I took one out placing it on a towel in the far corner, then closed the lid and slipped it back into the freezer. I closed the door and set the timer for about ten to five minutes.
"Alright, your going to have to wait for a little bit ok." I said, looking at Echo. Echo simply responded by sticking her tongue out. I giggle at her silliness then pulled out a couple of pans.
Might as well fix a sort of thank your breakfast. "You should be resting." I jumped in surprise, causing a wave of pain in my gut. I winced but waited for it to go away as I slowly turned around to see Soviet with a cup of coffee in his hands.
"I know it's just that... I really needed to stretch my legs, feed Echo, and I wanted to fix you all a thank you breakfast!" I said, my nervous smile turning into a cheerful one.
"Why?" Soviet simply asked, raising a brow.
"Because I want to." I answered with a small shrug, my smile remaining on my face.
"At least let me help you." Soviet said, putting down his coffee mug.
"No, no! I got it. If you helped me it wouldn't be a thank you breakfast." I said, walking to the fridge to grab some breakfast items.
Soviet took one of the things, brushing my hand as he did so. "Then think of me helping as an apology." Soviet said, a small smile forming on his lips.
"An apology?" I questioned, shutting the fridge door.
"Yes, I have been... unfair to you. Not really giving you a chance to prove yourself trustworthy." Soviet said, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.
I looked at him in surprise, "Alright, truce?" I held my hand for him to shake. He smiled, shaking my hand. "Truce." Soviet said.
"Now let's start breakfast!" I cheered, hearing the timer go off. I stopped the timer, Echo slithering down my arm and onto the counter.
"Echo! Don't eat it-" But Echo was already eating her meal on the hand towel. "Here.." I finished, then sighed.
I just rolled my eyes and continued making breakfast. I heard someone cutting something behind me, I turn around to see Soviet cutting the bacon into small pieces.
"Soviet... why are you cutting up the bacon?" I asked curiously, beginning to put the biscuits into the already heated oven.
"I was thinking we could put it in the eggs." Soviet answered calmly. I smiled, "That's not a bad idea."
The rest of the morning was... well I've been lectured by every country after they woke up. All saying the same thing, "You shouldn't have got up! You could've hurt yourself." Of course not all of them said exactly that or just that sentence but all of them could be sum up to that sentence.
Even my cousin lectured me, my own cousins who is at least ten years younger than me. His however, was a simply warning and what could happen if I stand or walk too much, but he agrees I should start moving around more to prevent loosing muscle.
After breakfast we all just sat around playing bored games or video games. On our tenth game of uno, the doorbell rang through out the house.
"I'll get it." I said, putting my cards down. I struggled to my feet, almost falling over. Phil caught me saying, "Maybe I should get it."
"No, no. I got it! After all what if it's someone that we don't know." I pointed out. Phil steadied me on my feet, letting out a sigh. "Fine."
I smiled, walking to the door. My cousin was somewhere in the house, most likely making the medication in my room.
I opened the door to see Benjamin. He looked at me in surprise, he opened his mouth to say something. I held up my hand stopping him, "I know, I know. I should be resting. Grey gave me the ok to walk around a little bit every now and then."
Benjamin sighed, "Can't argue with him. You look a bit better though. Not as pail and you got your sparkle back." I stepped aside allowing Benjamin to walk into the house. I closed the door behind him.
"What brings you here?" I asked, leading him into the living room.
"I came to pick up Grey. His parents are starting to worry about him." Benjamin answered calmly.
"Oh ok. I'll go get him for ya." I said, walking up the stairs to my room.
Benjamin POV
I watched as (Y/N) climbed the stairs, there was a slight limp in her step and she winced every now and then, but she looked fine. I would've stopped her, but this is my chance to tell the countries about what's one my mind. They got her to show emotion, why not do this!
I cleared my throat, gaining the countries attention instantly. "I have something to tell you guys." Mostly everyone's attention was point towards me, others too busy looking at their cards or trying to look at their partners cards.
"Is it about Ryder's whereabouts?" Britain asked.
"No... it's about an event that is going to happen in a few days." I told them with a smile.
They all gave me confused look and raised eyebrows. "(Y/N)'s birthday."
That caught their attention quick, every countries eyes were now on me. "It's in a few days?" North asked.
"Yes, I was hoping you guys will plan something for her. She never really gotten a chance to celebrate it when she was younger." I told them, leaving out the part of her not really wanting to celebrate it. I can still remember Hunter dragging her everywhere and throwing parties for her trying to get her to feel something for her birthday.
"Of course! We can do that! Right guys!?" France exclaimed, looking around the group, mostly towards America and Britain.
"Yeah, it could help repay for her hospitality." Britain agreed, giving a small nod.
Before anyone can say anymore (Y/N) back down the stairs with Grey by her side carrying some equipment.
I gave the countries a small signal to be quiet, they caught on quickly.
Your POV
I walked down the steps with Grey by my side, I insisted on helping him carry the stuff down the steps but he refused.
When we reached the bottom he spoke in his usual monotone. "C'mon Benjamin, lets go." Grey begin to walk towards the door.
"See you later (Y/N)." Benjamin said, giving me a small smile. He followed right behind Grey, getting in front of him to open the door.
Grey turned his head to look at me saying, "Don't forget to take one pill a day and to put that ointment on the wounds and bruises." He then gave me a small smile, "Goodbye for now cousin. Be safe." Grey then walk out the door, Benjamin following behind him, closing the door as he went.
I sat back down in my spot in between Soviet and Reich saying, "Let's continue shall we."
Grey's POV
We were driving through the back roads, making our way to my home. 'Should I tell him my suspicions?' I wondered, looking away from the window to glance over at Benjamin who had his eyes on the road.
I look straight ahead as well, contemplating if I should tell him or not.
I heard Benjamin sigh, "Alright what is it?"
"I don't know what you mean." I spoke coldly, crossing my arms.
"You do the exact same thing as (Y/N) whenever she had something on her mind. Now what is it?" Benjamin stayed, taking a couple glances my way.
"I think I know who let out Ryder." I said, sitting up a bit straighter.
Benjamin gave me a look of shock, "Already? Who?"
"I think it's her." I said, giving him a calm and serious look.
Benjamin looked confused for a moment, till his eyes widened. "No, there's no way! She would never do something like that! Especially to (Y/N)!" Benjamin argued, glancing back towards.
"Think about it. She seeks control over everyone... whoever fights against her control and doesn't make he plans into a reality she eliminates. She could be using Ryder as a motivation or a push factor." I pointed out, my monotone remaining.
Benjamin seemed to think for a moment, "But she wouldn't do that to (Y/N)... she loves her. Let's keep looking."
I simply shrug, "Fine." But I'm not going to let her off the hook yet.
Russia's POV
I kept researching any places that deals with animals or at least interact with them. "Watcha doin?" I person asked behind me. I jumped in my chair by the desk, whirling around at saw America standing over me looking at the screen.
I let out a sigh of relief, "Do you ever knock?"
"Nope. Now what are you up to?" America asked, gesturing to the computer screen.
"Looking up places to go for (Y/N)'s birthday." I told him, turning my attention back to the screen.
"Why not just throw a party?" America asked with a shrug.
'Because her brother most likely tried that before. She never cared for her birthday because she never felt joy or happiness at the time! So her brother most likely did everything in his power to get her to feel something on her birthday so she could care about it and enjoy it!' I wanted to shout at him. Instead I replied, "She likes animals, besides she doesn't seem like a party person."
"Yeah you might be right there. She hates wearing dresses and makeup. Not to mention she's a rule follower... never drinked once." America commented.
"She's underaged!" I retorted, glaring up at him.
"So, teens tend to drink anyway. There's a lot of underage drinkers these days." America commented.
"Your right and they are idiots." I said, rolling my eyes.
Then I came up to a website. "Hey how about this?" I asked, glancing up at America.
He smirked, "Oh yea, she'll love that."
