I blinked open my eyes, as sunlight shined down onto my face. I sat up, letting out a big yawn. Nightmare. Constant nightmares haunt me in my sleep, not allowing any rest for this day.
Today is super important... or really boring. Today is shopping day, for the guys at least. I'll pass, not really in the mood to constantly change into different clothes other people have worn or really tried on.
I slipped out of the covers, going over to my closet. I then looked at my outfits unsure, 'What degrees is it going to be today?'
I walk back over, grabbing my phone from my dresser, unplugging it. I pulled up the weather app to see it was only get up to sixty eight degrees at most.
Me getting cold easily, I decided to grab a pair of skinny jeans and a thin grey long sleeve shirt. I then quickly change into them, then slipped out of the room.
I walk out of the bathroom, brushing my teeth and my hair, then ran down stairs. "Shopping day!" I called out, catching most of the countries attention, away from the show they were watching.
Why am I always the one to wake up last? Well there were a couple of times I was awake early but... that's about it. What time is it anyway?
I pull my phone out of my pocket to see it was nine in the morning. I just shrugged then walked the rest of the way down the stairs.
"Shopping day?" South questioned, looking at me confused.
"Yeah, to get you guys some more clothes, swim trunks, and some other necessities." I answered, placing a hand on my hip. I honestly didn't want to say guys underwear out loud... especially in a room or really house full of guys.
"Cool. When are we leaving?" South asked, a bright smile on his face.
I smile in return, "Right now." I turned around and made my way to the front door. I could hear the guys scurry around behind me. The TV turning off and I could hear them slipping on their shoes quickly. I slipped on my shoes with ease, tying them quickly.
I grabbed the two keys to the vans that were still outside. One of the keys was yanked out of my grasps, I look over to see America with a bright smile. "I'll drive the other one." He said, before walking out of the door.
I walk out behind him, looking around wildly. He could be hear and we won't even know it.
A chill shot up my spine at even the thought of Ryder even knowing where I live.
After I walked inside, shutting the door, looking at Soviet then the others behind him.
*******
"Who was it?" South asked, cocking his head to the side. I was still in shock, staring at the gift intently.
"(Y/N)?" I snap my attention back up to The group standing in front of me, each one of them have concern glistening in their eyes.
The shock faded as fear begin to seep in, my hands beginning to tremble. "Oh god he knows." I mumble out, the box falling out of my trembling hands, landing on the ground with a thump.
Tears pricked the corner of my eyes, threatening to fall. I crashed to my knees, my whole world was beginning to crumble. It took me years to forget about him... a lot of nightmares coming after that night the police arrested him.
It looks as if those nightmares are becoming a reality. I felt hands clasp on my shoulders, I look up see Poland giving me a soft look.
"What happened? Was it your mother?" Poland asked. Clearly I spoken to lowly to hear them.
"Worse." I whispered out, trying to level out my voice.
    "Then who?" Soviet questioned firmly.
Russia hit him on the arm lightly saying softly, "Be gentle. We're supposed to calm her not stress her out some more."
"You can tell us when your ready. Just breath." Poland said, taking one of my hands, squeezing it slightly.
I took in a couple breathes in and out, calming myself down. Poland helped as well, his hand on mine is comforting in a way.
"Ryder. It was Ryder." I spoke.
"What!?" America roared, immediately walking out the front door with Russia and Phil following behind him.
    "Russia!" Soviet called out.
"He's gone already... or should be." I spoke, standing back up to my feet. Poland following my movement, releasing my hand as he did so.
"What's in the gift?" North asked, gesturing towards the wrapped box on the floor.
"I don't know. And I don't care either." I picked up the box, and into a drawer.
                               ********
They never found him of course. He left as soon as he came, but they didn't calm down when they got back. I remember going into the living figuring out what to do with him.
They all agreed that they either would beat him up and then take him to the police or just kill him. I think you can guess who are the ones that would just kill him.
They also agreed to never leave me alone whenever I go outside, even in my own yard. But after knowing about Ryder's knowledge... I never even stepped outside.
Echo even seemed to know what was going on, she's hardly left my side unless she is pranking one of the boys.
I parked the van in the parking lot of the mall. I turned the key, turning off the ignition.
I stepped out of the van, shutting the door behind me. I waited for everyone to step out, then locked the van.
Each one of the had either a hood up or a hat. In my opinion America hid the most have a hood including his sunglasses that he wore all the time.
I led them into the mall, "So where do you guys want to go first?" I gestured around the place decorated in mostly white. The ceiling being mostly made out of glass, there were even some trees growing on the first floor, it's branches reaching the second floor.
"What are the best shops in your opinion?" Britain asked, looking around.
I smiled, "Follow me then. I know one place that has great guys clothing." I began to lead them through the mall, taking a few turns here and there. Walking past the large food court which seemed completely empty at this hour. I then walked into the store known as Kohl's.
We stayed in there for a good three hours, as soon as the first hour had passed... I was already done being here.
My brain becoming tired, wanting to just go home and lay down for a nap. After that, I took them to the next closest store which was Sears.
We went into almost every store in the mall, until they were satisfied with their pickings.
I felt kind of bad... ok I didn't. Whenever we would walk into the store, I would tell the cashier that whatever the men bought I would pay and handed her my card.
I know... not smart giving your card to a stranger. But I know these said strangers, I own this entire mall. So using your boss's credit card wouldn't be very smart if they want to keep their job.
I got the card back after they would quickly scan the card once everything is checked out. We went to the food court as our last stop, America went straight to McDonalds as usual.
I went over to Arby's, getting a chicken sandwich and small fries. As I was waiting for my food to be brought out I heard a familiar voice behind me, "Omg! (Y/N) is that you!?"
I turn around see my best friend... sorry ex- best friend Lucy. A bright smile on her face as I turn around to face her.
"Lucy." I greeted with my monotone voice. After our little experience, I basically treat her the same way as my mother if not worse.
"My god its good to see you! How have you been?" She asked, giving me a hug, her blonde hair waving in my face.
'Lie.' I thought. I'm a bit surprised she even said hello to me.
"Good I guess." I answered with a shrug as she pulled away. "Hey (Y/N), what did you get? I'm have a hard time deciding." South asked cheerfully behind me.
I turn my head to face him, South looked over at Lucy asking, "Oh! Who is this? One of your friends?"
Before I could even answer Lucy stuck out her hand saying, "I'm her best friend Lucy. And you are?" 'No your not.' I wanted to say but South was already speaking.
"South Ko-." South froze before saying. "South." Then took her hand to shake.
She giggled, "South? What a unique name!" She then turned to me saying, "Are you two on a date?"
I blushed lightly, "No, we are just out shopping is all." I answered, trying to remain calm and not stutter.
"Shopping? But you hate shopping? Why would you ever be willing to go shopping?" She questioned innocently. I knew what she was trying to do, just like what happened last time when me and Ryder were happy together. She tried to get him to stop liking me by calling out my flaws or what I would never do. He saw past her quickly, and even warned me with what type of person she was. But... I didn't, but I guess I should have. Because after stepping up to my brothers business, she turned everyone against me. Saying how I only seek attention or how I don't want to hang out with them because I saw work as more important and so on. They believed every single word, and left me high and dry when I needed them the most.
South raised an eyebrow and looked at me, "You hate shopping?"
"I have to be in the mood for it. But I'm not shopping for myself, you are." I told him, giving him a small smile. He nodded, then turned his body to face me and I did the same. "So what are you getting?" He asked.
"The chicken sandwich with small fries." I answered him.
He nodded, "Alright I'll get that. Be right back." He walked into the line, ready to order his food.
"He seems nice." Lucy said with a smile.
"Yeah, I moved on. I got better friends now." I said, putting one hand on my hip and keeping my head high.
"Oh don't tell me your still upset about all that? That was in the past, this is the now. You know the saying, forgive and forget." Lucy said with a sickening cheerful voice.
"You made the others abandoned me with your nasty words telling lies. You all left me when I needed you the most. Instead you left me behind, making me face everything alone." I growled, glaring at her.
She scoffed, "Oh please. I didn't make them believe me. They choose to believe me."
"They didn't have to choose to believe you if you never had said anything to begin with." I argued, crossing my arms, leaning on one leg.
She huffed, "I see you never changed. You were always the heartless spoiled brat."
My eyes glared into her light blue ones, she was calling me that? After what she done!? How hypocritical.
"How dare you call her that!" I voice growled behind me. I whirl around to see South, his hand clenched into a fist as he stomped up to stand next to me.
"I'll have you know that she is no where near a heartless spoiled brat. She is sweet, caring, kind, and put others well beings before herself." I blushed lightly at his statement, he think of me that way? "The only heartless spoiled brat I see... is you." He added, glaring down at Lucy, his arms crossed.
Why is it always the excitable and childish ones that are always scary when they are angry.
Honestly... I did not want to be the person behind that glared.
Lucy looked at him with her mouth gapped open in shock. Everyone around us were watching the whole thing, each one of them glaring at Lucy. Lucy seemed to just notice, and squirmed under the glares.
She then turned around and walked away without another word. "Good riddance." South huffed.
I put a hand on his arm, he look over at me, his figure seeming to relax. "You didn't have to do that you know. I could've handled that myself." I told him.
"I'm sure you could but... I couldn't just stand by and let her talk to you like that.
I care about you." He said the last part in badly a whisper. I could barely pick it up.
I smiled brightly, wrapping my arms around him in a hug. "Thank you." I said, looking up at him.
He smiled in return, letting out a sigh, "You are welcome." He hugged me in return, pecking his lips on my cheeks. I blushed brightly at his gesture. "(Y/N)!" I heard my name call out by the cashier. I pull away from him, fumbling around with my words, "Um ... well... um that my food so um... I'll got get it."
I heard him chuckle as I walk over towards the counter to get my food. My fingers gently brushing over the place her kissed me, the tingling hasn't left.
I couldn't help but smile silly like, grabbing my food and turning to walk back over to South. His name was called next and collected it, paying the cashier.
"Let's go, France got us a table." South said, leading over towards a couple of combined tables with France sitting at one of the chairs with a bag from subway.
We all late at lunch, South telling the story about Lucy which ended in me explaining who she was and how she knew me. But we had a good time all and all.
Once we got home, we all laid around in the living room, taking a small nap. With me cuddled up against South with Phil laying his head in my lap while Echo was resting around my neck.
