AN: at this point all i have to do is to freaking apologize and please be aware i had no idea what i was doing while writing this ^^,
Cold. It had been a while since he woke up feeling like he'd been frozen to the core, to be honest.
The last time he woke up like that was when he fell off a bridge, and certainly if it wasn't because of some dumb luck, he wouldn't be even alive to wake up feeling like his bones' stracture had shifted into one of ice instead.
If he focused he could feel the torturous ache in his head, and he didn't know if he should be worried when it seemed to be worse than a normal migraine-aside from the fact that his eyelids were heavy, too heavy for him to open his eyes and do something to make himself feel less cold.
And better not note that funny feeling in his chest, as if he'd been breathing in water instead of air for hours. A tiny part of his brain seemed to be way too amused with his melodramatics, and he'd push it away if it weren't for the exhaustion weighing down on him like a pile of bricks.
There was a weird buzz in the background, like a radio, but it seemed to be no help to his...migraine, and the fact that he couldn't understand it made it even worse. And It actually did sound familiar, it seemed as if it came from underwater.
"-nix." A brief pause. Someone took a shaky breath.
"Ph-ix." Suddenly he came to his senses and a weight took place on his shoulders, warm against his cold body. If he had the energy he'd let a sigh of relief, but his body took it's sweet time to fully respond to his brain commands.
The grip on his shoulders tightened, and the next time the voice called out to him there was a note of desperation. And this time, the voice came from somewhere close instead of underwater.
"Phoenix!" Then, his body was completely responding to every command as phoenix jolt up, his mouth open in a gasp as he gulped in the air like water-which again, seemed to be what he'd been breathing in for a while, his lungs felt like plastic bags. And it seemed like he wasn't done yet.
He quickly leaned to the side as a bile rose up to his throat and coughed up the water in his lungs, groaning in pain when he made sure the only thing filling his lungs had to be air. Hands pushed him back to the ground, holding him there and phoenix couldn't help but shiver under the touch.
His body shook like he had been shocked, as he struggled against those warm hands holding him steady. And when his body had enough oxygen to give him the ability to think straight, the buzz in his head shifted into understandable words.
"-breathe with me, phoenix." Phoenix gathered up the energy to tilt his head up and a pair of silver eyes stared down at him, intense with worry. Unconcsiously he started to comply, inhlaing and exhaling just as the silver eyed angel did.
Slowly, his vision cleared out, and finally he could see miles leaning over him, dripping wet with his hair sticking to his forehead, grey eyes intense. He didn't look the greatest either(aside the fact that he looked like he'd took a dive in the lake with his suit), he had cuts and bruises and a split lip but all he seemed to be concerned about was phoenix, who laid limply on the cold floor just like a raggdoll.
And even though phoenix was alive and breathing(most likely), if he squinted hard enough he could still see traces of pure, raw fear.
