AN: idk if this counts as narumitsu but well... this takes after that hazakura(i can't spell that to save my life ;-;) case miles went on as the defence attorney, and franziska has a few things to say about that.

"The court is adjourned." The judge announced with a slam of his gavel and the people started to fill out of the court, murmuring between themselves. Miles let out a sigh, gathering up the court evidence and followed the group of people.

He ended up in the defendant lobby, eyes staring at the view outside the window. Tentatively he reached up and felt the cold, round badge on his lapel, letting his eyes slid shut.

My job here is done.

Now all that left for him to do was to return wright's badge to him and leave the rest to the attorney.

A familiar crack of a whip pulled him out of his thoughts, and miles turned around just in time to catch franziska walking up to him with quick strides.

"Foolish fool!" She snarled, pointing at him with her whip as she came to a stop before the man. Miles let out a sigh, he really didn't have time for this. He needed to pay wright a visit, fill him in with the events in court and give him his badge.

"Franziska-" she cut him off, gritting her teeth. "Have you hit your head on something, little brother?" Miles was almost offended as he crossed his arms and levelled her an unamused glare.

"I am perfectly fine, franziska." He barely raised a brow, tapping his index finger against his other arm in a thoughtful manner. "May i ask what's wrong with you?" Franziska may or may not have been fuming at this point, stomping her foot on the floor as she lifted a finger to point at him in accusation.

"How far are you intending to go for that foolish man?!" Honestly, miles didn't know that either.

But maybe he knew what the reason was- aside from the fact that he could never repay phoenix wright for what he did. And as much as he tried to deny it, ignore it, he knew.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He knew, but that didn't mean he intended to tell it to franziska. Another crack of the whip, and miles didn't even flinched under his adopted sister's heavy gaze.

"Don't try to fool me, little brother!" She growled, emitting another sigh from the man. It worthed a shot...

And here he thought he was being subtle about it for once.

"We both know how you feel for that foolish fool of a foolish attorney!" Miles' hands clenched into fists.

Yes, he might actually love him. But he didn't. Miles was almost sure the man liked the defendant, and from the way she looked at him he knew that if phoenix did like her, she'd reciprocate.

At least wright wouldn't have his heart broken for the second time.

"That does not matter, franziska." Miles forced himself to say, refusing to meet her eyes. The younger prosecutor let out an exasperated sigh, her voice softer when she spoke up this time.

"The way you are clutching at that badge claims quite the opposite, little brother." Miles looked down, and indeed, his hand had been clutching at the golden badge without him being aware of it. His fingers twitched as a surprised noise escaped from his throat and he let go of the badge, this time gripping at his arm.

"Stop this torture this instant. Tell him." The thought of it made him panic as he flinched, his grip on his arm tightening. He stared back at franziska with disbelief.

"Don't be absurd!" Franziska shook her head, staring back at him as if talking to the most stupid human being on the planet.

"I'm sorry, brother. But you are the one being absurd." Miles shook his head, turning on his heels so he could walk away before he could hear any of those foolish ideas of hers.

However, he hadn't gone too far until franziska's next words had him freeze on his spot.

"Haven't you seen the way he looks at you when you're occupied with some of those foolish case of yours?" Miles slowly turned his head to look at her over his shoulder. As much as the two weren't the closest siblings, franziska wouldn't lie to him about such a sensitive subject.

Yet, it was hard to believe that someone like wright would want such a thing as that with him out of all people.

"I suggest you tell him after this foolish case is done with." Franziska crossed her arms, giving him a threatening look. "If you don't i will be the one who tells him." Miles paused, letting a tired inhale. Franziska was serious, he knew from that tone of hers.

"Very well." He heard the other prosecutor let out a satisfied noise and without another word walked to the exit.
