The next morning I woke, the space beside me empty. "Maybe he's eating breakfast." I said aloud, making my way towards the dining hall. "Hey Sasha. Is Eren in the mess hall?"

Sasha nervously brushed a lock of hair behind her ear. "Um, not exactly."

"Oh. Where is he then?"

"You're not gonna like this, but the military police came and took him this morning while you were were still asleep."

"They what?" I said.

"Yeah."

"This has Levi written all over it." I muttered, banging the door to the dining room open.

"And enter the pissed off girlfriend." Reiner said aloud.

"Mikasa."

She looked up from her bowl of oatmeal, Armin by her side. "Yeah?"

"I'm going to get Eren." I told her, exiting the room and heading for the stables.

"Stormer." Mikasa said from behind me.

"Guys, it's probably better if I go alone."

"Not happening. We're a group, we go together."

"Yeah, we don't want anything bad happening to you or Eren." Armin added.

"What about the others."

"Leave them. They'll come eventually. This is about getting Eren back."

"Right." I replied, positioning myself on the back of my horse. "Let's go."

"They left."

"Why am I not surprised?" I sarcastically said.

"Should we go with them?"

"No! Their idiotic little rescue mission will land all three of them in prison, hopefully so they'll never return! We should stay here and leave them be." I proposed.

"I'm going." Sasha announced.

"No, you're staying here." I argued.

"Nobody put you in charge, Annie. Jean, come on!"

"No! Everyone will stay where they are!"

"I'm out."

"Marco, no. Stay here." I watched as everyone else cleared out of the room.

"Reiner. Come on." I desperately pleaded with him. "You're going to stay, right?"

"I should go." Reiner followed the rest outside, leaving me alone.

"Armin, can you take care of my horse for me? I have some- business to take care of." I drew one of my swords and handed him the reins.

"Sure thing."

"Name." One of the guards said upon entering the palace.

"Stormer Amano."

"State your business."

"To address matters of prisoner Eren Jaeger with Captain Levi Ackerman."

"Go on ahead."

"I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind when I get down there." I muttered, attracting a few strange looks from passerby.

"Yeah, he's pretty much a threat whenever he's in titan form." The inevitable voice of my cousin came from downstairs.

"Levi Ackerman!" I shouted.

"Right on time."

"Stormer?" Eren's voice triggered a stabbing pain in my chest, tears pricking the back of my eyes. I stepped into the dark enclosed dungeon where my boyfriend sat in the cell and Levi standing outside, leaning against the wall, his casualness sparking my anger.
