After groaning to herself, Aria trudged from the arena to the ground floor of the utilities building before catching up with her friends in the quad. Her bandesnhatch, now awake, was still cradled in her arms. Phoenix and her seahorse, Charity; Raquel and her Cadmean fox, Vixen; along with Quinn and her amarok, Teal, were waiting for Aria. Charity fluttered behind Phoenix while Vixen and Teal were playfully prancing next to their owners. Nobody took note of Aria's usual quiet demeanor as they headed for their next class.

"This is according to the Department of Beastology," Quinn clarified.

'Amarok
Level five

This beast is a gigantic wolf that roams about in the deep woods of Terra and lives off the souls of its prey. Unlike Earthly wolves, who hunt in packs, the amarok hunts alone. The amarok doesn't have to be near its prey in order to kill it. Though amaroks are found roaming in the woods of Terra, they originate from Scorch and were only transferred to Terra because of the high death rates'.

'Cadmean fox
Level four

Also known as the Teumessian fox. In Greek mythology, the fox was one of the children of Echidna and it was destined never to be caught. In the Cosmic, it is the fastest land animal; faster than the cheetah. Its diet strictly consists of devouring live prey. Only known habitat is the rocky terrain of Terra'.

Seahorse
Level four

A large saltwater fish with segmented bony armor, an upright posture, a curled prehensile tail, a tubular snout, and a head and neck suggestive of a horse. Sensitive and transparent 'wings' on its spin that allow for it to swim both in water and on land. Highly territorial creatures that prey on trespassers by biting off tails and dorsal fins. Rarely leaves the ocean for land willingly but will mark land territory if it does. Bites off limbs of prey that trespass'.

'Bandesnhatch
Level five

Only found in Veil and though it's part of the top five most dangerous creatures of the Cosmic, it can't survive on Terra. Not much is know about this ferocious creature due to its kill on sight nature. This dog-bear looking monster survives solely on meat and is notorious to kill for sport'.

"Forget everything you've perceived about this class," an old man bellowed. "The phrase 'evil charms' doesn't imply some ancient practice of witchcraft and wizardry. This is not Harry Potter!" He stood up and hovered near the ceiling of his lecture hall. "I am Mr. Roche Marley and this class, will only be difficult if you don't follow my instructions the first time they're given."

The four roommates sat next to each other with three sleeping beasts at their feet and Charity hovering behind Phoenix, wide awake. Teal was curled around Quinn's ankle while Vixen's tail was coiled around Raquel's leg and Dire used Aria's foot as a pillow. Quinn, Aria (and Raquel surprisingly) were fully invested in the class but Phoenix played with Charity's tail, uninvested in Mr. Marley's voice.

"Just to break the ice, and in honor of the upcoming equinox," he began which made Quinn sit up straight, more drawn to the class especially after reading the affects and significants of the equinoxes yesterday, "turn to page one-seventeen." Quinn jumped as she rampaged through her textbook.

"Cool it, Solomon," Raquel hissed softly, "we've got three more years of this."

Quinn huffed as she turned to the earth user, "equinox?" Raquel went wide eye as she peaked over into the textbook and saw a page with Zilch writing on it. "Exactly," she stated.
