That was the time that the clock read. The darkness enhanced it's colour as she spoke the words that changed her life.
People say that if you wish for something at this time, it would come true. Sharabelle stood up from her bed and crept to the window. With the curtains drawn back, the sky was clear.
She slowly clambered onto the roof of her extravagant house. Outside darkness consumed everything. Not a spot of light reached the ground below because there was no moon that night.
The words in her head began buzzing around. Jump! was all that she thought as she launched herself off the center beam of the roof.
She felt ethereal for a second. With no ground below her, she felt free. Time seemed to slow down.
A pain stabbed every part of her body. She thought she was dead but she soon realized that wasn't true because she could still see the stars shining bright, as if no blood was spilt that night. A door opening and slamming shut was the last thing she heard before the darkness choked her...
