"So when is Bennett coming back to school?" Monica asked as we sat down for lunch

"Doc said he can come in tomorrow but it's really up to him if he wants to come in or take the rest of the week off and then come on Monday" I replied and my friends and his nodded

"Would it be okay if Dad and I stopped by later to see him?" Chris asked and I nodded

"You, your brothers and Dad as well as his friends are more than welcomed to come by anytime just give us a heads up before you do in case we already have plans" I replied and he nodded

"Can we go see him after school?" Uriel asked

"We would've gone sooner but it's been kind of difficult with the whole rogue thing and Alpha Benji saying that we shouldn't be out for long unless we take a warrior with us," Raine said

"That man doesn't even realize that we're not defenseless" Montana mumbled

"He's just looking out for you guys," I said and they reside their brows making me roll my eyes, "believe me. I tell my pack members the same thing. I know they get agitated but they don't say anything because they know it's for their safety"

"We get it really but to have them outside our room during the night?" Montana asked looking at her mate who shrugged, "that's a little overboard"

"It's a little nerve-racking, to be honest. I get that Alpha Benji is looking out for our safety but as Ana said, it's a little overbearing to have to wake to a muscled man outside your bedroom in the morning or the middle of the night when you want to get something to drink from the kitchen" Julian stated

"That is a little excessive if I'm being honest," I said and Chris nodded

"Believe me I know. I don't want some guy standing outside my room when I'm with my mate" He stated making Montana slap him in the chest as her cheeks turned pink with blush and he only chuckled, "I've told Benji that having warriors outside our rooms was unnecessary but he won't listen"

"Why do we have to have them and not him? It's ridiculous" Braxton muttered. I looked at my friends who were looking at Bennett's friends and brother in shock. I was just as shocked as them by their words.

"You better not do that to us Dimitri or so help me," Monica said and I rolled my eyes

"Don't worry that won't happen. The pack are all well trained and know how to defend yourselves if we were ever under attack" I said

"Damn right we are" Jeremy replied making us laugh

"No offense to you guys, but I'd hate to have an alpha like yours" my little brother, Gabe, said and looked at me, "thank god you're not that extreme"

"I couldn't agree more kid," Sage said as he patted Gabe on the shoulder making our brother roll his eyes

"No offense taken, believe me, "Montana said

"You may not be offended but I am. He's my brother. I get that's his overbearing but he's only looking out for our safety like Dimitri said" Chris stated

"Don't act like you're offended dude, you hate it as much we all do" Raine said as his mate nodded in agreement wrapping an arm around him but before Chris could retaliate, the bell signaling lunch ended rang through the room and we all gathered our empty trays and made our way to the exit with the rest of the students piling out.

The rest of the school went by in a flash and before I knew it, it was the end of the day and I was heading to the locker room to change since we had football practice. I felt Grayson begin to pace in my head as I felt an uneasy feeling as if I were being watched. I discretely sniffed the air but nothing was out of the ordinary but that didn't mean that the coast was clear.
