"But, mom! Please, I promise you I will be more careful next time. Just please, I want to keep going out as Spider-man!" The teen protested.

After Peter got out of the hospital, his mother insisted on him quitting being Spider-Man.

"Peter, I can't lose you, ok?! You are still very young and I don't want to get a call from your father one day telling me that you got killed while patrolling the city!" His mom yelled at him.

She did have a point, though. No mother would want to hear that her only child got killed by some criminals while trying to help other people.

"Pep, just give him a chance, we can work on improving the suit even more if that will make you feel better about him going out." His father said, trying to settle the argumet. But, his plan backfired as Pepper now was yelling at him.

"No, you are no better than him. You started this by recruiting him to fight against Cap! Do you think I would like to hear that you got killed during battle?!" She yelled.

At this point Peter had gone to his room, he didn't like hearing his parents fight, even though they are technically not his parents, more like, Pepper is a guardian while Tony is the one who actually adopted him.

Flashback: 6 years ago,

Peter sat next to Steve, waiting, while Tony and Pepper were signing the adoption papers with the lawyers in the conference room.

Peter would have never thought that his life would turn out like this.

"Hey, are you ok?" Steve asked him.

"Yeah, I just can't believe what is happening right now. I lost my parents when I was six, then my uncle and my aunt, and now I'm being adopted by my idols." Peter said, tears willing in his eyes. He missed his family dearly.

Steve hugged him, trying to comfort him. Even though he only knew the kid for a few weeks the two grew incredibly close, as Steve was the one who saved him, and he knew that talking about his parents or his aunt and uncle was very hard.

"Just know that we are all here for you, ok?" He said, pulling away.

Peter nodded, and mumbled a 'Thank you', smiling.

The lawyer, Tony and Pepper came out of the room, a huge smile blasted on their faces.

"Congratulations, you are a Stark now." The lawyer said.

Peter jumped up from where he was sitting and hugged Tony. His eyes were starting to water again, this time they were tears of joy and happiness.

The billionaire was startled at first but then immediately hugged his new son.

"I love you, dad." Peter said.

"Love you too, son." Tony replied.

Peter smiled at the memory, that was the best day of his life.

After what seems like forever, the two adults stopped fighting; and Peter heard a knock on the door.

He had his face buried in his pillow and he didn't want to talk to anyone right now, but he let them in anyways.

"Come in." He mumbled, loud enough to be heard from the other side of the door.

He sat up and saw his father walking in.

"I wanted to talk to you." He said.

Tony walked closer and sat next to his son on the bed.

"What is it?" The teen asked.
