Hey guys! I'm so so sorry I didn't post any chapters last week. I was dealing with the worst case of writer's block ever T-T to make it up to you, I'm posting two chapters today! Also, the fan art event's deadline is officially pushed out since I didn't post to remind you about it. Now, you have until the end of the month! And actually, if you *want* to draw/make something after that point, feel free to still show me! I'm really excited to see your beautiful art.

Two bodies

Flowing with each other.

Taking day by day,

Trusting one another.

Two bodies

Sharing with the rain,

Who tells them of their sorrow -

Their happyness in vain.

Two bodies

Linked by a river,

Seperated by a damn.

Calling for an endless truce -

Forever hand in hand.

- King Happy, 'Everflow'

March was especially wet. The saturated ground squelched wherever one trod, and each step was a draining excursion as the muck sucked rainboots deep into its clutches. Slate grey waves were wild with the constant storms, and winds uprooted hedges as if they were little more than wilted flowers. In a world of everlasting brown, the bright colors of manmade monuments were a godsend, and the old canvas awnings that stretched over the market stalls were almost beautiful enough to coax Jungkook to follow Jin whenever they needed groceries.

Though anyone reasonable would take this time to lock themselves indoors - perhaps to complete some spring cleaning - Jungkook found himself spending even more time at the shore. Salty spray spattered his black raincoat, and the wind cut through the sweater underneath to chill his very bones. His right boot had formed a crack in the heel, but he didn't realize it until he was already outside and the mud had already seeped through, so what was the point of turning back? His foot ached in the frozen bath that had overtaken his wool socks, and he shifted his weight onto his left one, lips pursed.

The more time he spent before the roaring waves, the more he fruitlessly wished for Taehyung to appear from beneath their rambunctious surface.

Why did he leave? That question had been swallowing every other thought for months. After everything - after confessing, after kissing - why did he disappear? What was left to be afraid of?
