Beyond the sea, beyond the sea,

My heart is gone, far, far from me;

And ever on its track will flee

My thoughts, my dreams, beyond the sea.

- Thomas Love Peacock, 'Beyond the Sea'

The soft caress of thin blankets like cotton against his skin. Warm breath over the spans of pillow under his head, tickling his nape. Fingers toying with the hair along the base of his scalp.

That final sensation sent enough of a shiver up Jungkook's spine to coax him to the land of the living, blinking in the gentle light of the grotto. The fingers in his hair froze, sensing his consciousness, but he hummed low in his throat and curled deeper into the bed, shrugging the blanket further up under his chin. The material was like a warm bath, shimmery and light, and he wondered briefly what it'd take to convince Taehyung to let him steal it. He had no idea what time it was, but considering he couldn't really do anything except sit around in the grotto, he was fine with sleeping away another hour or three.

Taehyung's body shook gently behind him - a laugh - and he resumed carding his hand through Jungkook's hair, his touches light enough to send cool vibrations down the younger's back.

"Soft," Taehyung murmured sleepily.

"Mm," Jungkook agreed. Yes, Taehyung's touches were soft.

"Pretty boy," Taehyung continued, and Jungkook blushed.

And then stiffened.

Threw off the blanket, shooting upright fast enough for the blood to rush south from his head. Heart hammering in his skull, he stared wildly down at Taehyung, lips parted in an attempt to breathe.

Taehyung lifted his hands, eyebrows furrowed in worry. "What's wrong?"

"You talked," Jungkook blanched.

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "Yes, I did. I've been doing that for a while now."

"No," Jungkook croaked, heart still racing wildly. "I mean, you talked. And I heard you."
