Chapter Two:

“Lea language,” mum hissed, looking horrified.

“Do you to know each other?” Isabell asked, shocked.

“Unfortunately,” I hissed, glaring at Alec.

He seemed to rather enjoy all of this which made me even angrier. He had a smug look and amusement in his eyes; his arms folded bulging his biceps even more. I hated the way he seemed confident, it made me feel small, like I wasn’t a match for him. I clenched and unclenched my jaw, trying to keep my temper down. Alec seemed to notice my anger and it seemed like he wanted to do anything to set me off, as if it gave him pleasure.

“We had a lovely encounter in the hallway,” he said, wrapping his arms around my shoulders like we were best of friends. Butterflies filled my stomach at this small gesture but I ignored it. Aggressively I pushed him off, hoping to give him a few bruises or two.  He just smirked.

“Well, okay um… perhaps it would be best if we continued our conversation in the garden,” Isabell standing up. My mum quickly followed, giving me a stern look before she went.

“Shit,” I muttered under my breath.

Sighing I sat down, head in my hands. What the hell had this arsehole done to me? I was losing my temper quicker than before, I had butterflies whenever he was close or he touched me. He was an arsehole and he was my neighbour. I’d only known him for a day and yet he was making me feel like this.

He’s an arsehole. He’s an arsehole. He’s an arsehole.

I kept on telling myself that. He was a player, an arsehole and a cocky arrogant bastard. Besides I wasn’t his type. He would go for the slutty whores and I would go for…. well not bad boys I guess. The memory of Keira at lunch filled my head making me shudder.

“You cold daffodil?” he said.

I looked up at him. There was no amusement in his expression just curiosity and maybe even a little concern.  Was he actually concerned about me? No he was probably messing with me.

“Like you care,” I snapped at him.

He chuckled and sat down next to me, too close for my liking. I moved away from him slightly but he didn’t seem to notice.

“You know your moody, right?” he said staring at me. I glared at him but said nothing. “Are you on your period or something?”

I cannot believe he just said that.

“No!”
