Darling in the franxx: 'The New World'

'The Shocking News'

Zero Two pov:

After feeding the babies I went down stairs, I wanted to see what everyone was up to. As I made my way down the hall I saw Ichigo and Goro, each of them where holding one of their babies. Goro holding the girl and ichigo holding the boy.

Zero two: good morning ichigo and Goro,  how are my little monsters.(smiling at the babies)

Ichigo answered,

Ichigo: "terrible, they won't let us get any sleep or alone time. I want to do my work but if they a'nt hungry they are crying for something else."

Goro then answer her.

Goro: "Calm down ichigo they are just babies. They all do that"

Ichigo gave Goro a glare that said 'if you open your month once more I'll sew it up.'

I just laugh at them. Afterwards we went down in the dining area and ate breakfast. Goro then turned on the television. The first thing that came on was the news,

Zero two: "I wonder if darling is ok?"

Ichigo: "yeah me too, knowing Hiro he's always planning to do something stupid."

I then laugh,

Zero two: "Ichigo darling isn't always planning stupid stuff."

Ichigo: "ooohhh surrrreeee he isn't"

Everyone in the kitchen was laughing until the news changed to the emergency viewing.

News: "good afternoon citizens of plantation 13, we have an live viewing of what's happening in the war from one of our field reporters."

Then the news went into live.

Reporter: "good afternoon everyone as you can see I'm in the middle of the war and we are-"

There was an loud explosion in the back ground and the signal cut off and came back in again with lots of gun fire and explosions, also the reporter was covered up with dirt all over her.

Reporter: "sorry about that, like I was saying were I'm the middle of the war and we are seeing what's happening live. At the correct moment we and the soldiers are diffending the Dark Canyon Bridge and are awaiting for our legendary hero Hiro Franxx to pass over."

The camera man then turned the camera to the desert where you could see only dusk, but soon after it was coming clear. War airships, fighter jets, military tanks and vans where heading our way. And a head of them was an man.

Ichigo: "Zero Two isn't that-"

Zero Two: "Darling!!!"

As I watched the television keenly to see what will happen and was nervous on the inside. Because at moments like these, I always hate. Afraid of watching my partners die in front of me. As I watch the reporter continued.

Reporter: "as you can see our hero is desperately fighting to come home and-"

Before she was able to finish the shields went up.

Ichigo: "what the hell are they doing! Hiro is still out their!"

Zero two: "Darling!"

As I said those words out of my mouth I saw the shock wave was release. Soon after airships and fighter jets started to fall out of the sky. Everything started to explode and soon after the ground over where Hiro was were cracking. As I watched the last moments of my darling on the news  I froze. Because I was powerless at this moment. I couldn't save my darling or tell him good bye, I could only watch his death just like everyone else.

Ichigo then screamed out and Miku started crying none stop, But I.... I was frozen, numb and speechless. Because I couldn't believe I just witness my most important person in the world dying on national television. I then looked at my hands,they where shaking and soon after I saw something like water falling on them.

I then looked up to the mirror and could see my reflection. I was crying, but why am I crying. I should have known this was going to happen, everyone has to day sooner or later, so why am I crying. I then looked at ichigo.

Zero two: "Ichigo....."

She was still crying uncontrollably.

Zero Two: "Ichigo"

She then looked at me,

Ichigo: "what is it Zero Two"

Zero Two: "where is darling?"

She then looked at me, got up from her knees and started to walk over to me. Reaching me she stood their looking at me. She then raised her hand in the air as if she was going to hit me just like she did in the past. As she put up her hand everyone tried to stop her. But to thier surprise her hand gentle touched my face and her thumb was wiping away one of my tears.

Ichigo: " I'm......I'm..... I'm sorry Zero Two":

Zero Two: "No..... that's not darling..... it can't be..... it cant"

She then just looked at me as I started to break down and started to cry uncontrollably. I hugging her and she hugging me. Both of us crying in each others arms for the person we lost the most.
