I looked at Daniel, as he stared at me. I was scared he was going to hurt me, but suddenly, he picked me up in his arms. I started laughing as he started running to the ocean in his swim shorts.
Maybe he isn't so bad.
He stopped running as he held me over the ocean.
"Don't you dare drop me!" I yell, laughing.
"Or else what?" he laughs.
"I'll splash you!" I said.
"Okay fine." He says turning around.
He suddenly turns around again, and drops me into the cold water.
"Daniel!" I scream, laughing.
I stand up and start splashing him.
As we swam in the ocean, he looked into my eyes.
I looked back at his icy blue eyes.
"Get on my back." He said.
He gave me a piggyback ride all the way back to our spot on the sand.
"Will you go on a date with me?" He asks, blushing.
"Yes!" I say, hugging him.
I immediately pull away.
"I mean, sure!" I said, trying not to be awkward.
"Haha, I'll see you on Sunday at 6:45pm, Maddie." He says.
I told him my address, and I walk back to the car,
"So how was it?" Melissa asks excited.
"Really good. He asked me on a date" I said.
"Aww. See I told you he wouldn't hurt you." She teased.
I laughed.
I couldn't help but think about what Daniel said.
I got home to see another package. A red rose and a note, of course.
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
I had a good time today.
Didn't you?"
