"Wake up beautiful." I opened my eyes to see Daniel next to me.

"What time is it?" I ask.

"Eleven fifteen in the morning. Melissa went to school so you and I are going to get brunch."

"Fine." I say.

I do my everyday routine. As we walked out of the house, I stopped Daniel from falling after he tripped over a box.

I put the box in the kitchen and walked out. I saw him waiting for me in the car.

"What was the package?" Daniel asks.

"Probably another rose. I didn't open it though." I replied.

"Oh. So how many roses have you gotten so far?"

"Seven. Depending on what the package is, which most likely is a rose, then eight. I get one everyday."

"Wow."

When we got brunch, I ordered pancakes and Daniel ordered waffles.

"I'm glad we're hanging out again." Daniel said, his mouth full of waffles.

"Me too, you're a great friend." I say smiling.

I see Daniel's smile fade to a frown.

"Oh." He says looking down.

"What's wrong?" I ask, concerned.

"You're just so beautiful, and you're a great girl. I really like- no, Madelaine, I love you." He says.

"Daniel, I love you too." I say.

When we got home, we went to watch movies and cuddle, but before that, I decided to open the package.

"Roses are red

Violets are blue.

I want to spend the rest of my life

With you <3"

"Aw this one is sweet." I say.

"Let me see." Daniel says, reading the note.

"Is there a secret admirer I should know about?" He asks.

"Aw is someone jealous?" I tease.

"No." He pouts.

"Let's go watch Riverdale." I say.

I sit on the couch and lean against Daniel as he puts his arm around me.

We were watching Riverdale, and watching Jughead caring for Betty when she was upset about her father.

"That's what I should have done for you." Daniel says, kissing my cheek.

"It's in the past. I forgive you." I say.

He stares at me with a big smile, and with that, he kissed me on the lips.

I kissed back.
