Just smile (Wangxian)

Wei Wuxian had just recently gotten used to bugging Lan Wangji whenever he had the chance. Other then Jiang Chang scolding him every time he had to admit the boy had quite the attraction towards the man but he would never let that show. Nonetheless tell anyone. He kept on denying his feelings and the butterfly's that filled his lungs just kept getting pushed to the side was driving him insane. Now that he was in back in at the lotus pier he hasn't seen him since forever in result letting his feelings get trapped in a box if only there was a way for him to know for sure. 

"A-xian, could you help me out for a minute" Yanli asked. Wei Wuxian agreed right away. "Of course! What do you need?" Wei Wuxian asked. She smiled. "I seemed to have left my fan back at the Cloud Recesses, I can't seem to find it anywhere, it's one of the only fans that I have that's from the Carp Tower, could you please go there and get it back for me?" Jiang Yanli asked. "But, you have many fans from the Carp tower" Wei Wuxian said. "This one is special, please?" Jiang Yanli pleaded. "Alright, alright. I'll get the fan for you, plus I know that Jin Zixuan is also important to you so you don't want to lose the fan he gave you, right?" Wei Wuxian smirked. "What a smart brother you are" She smiled as she pinched his cheeks and sent him off. 

Jiang Cheng who was listening to the conversation came out into the room where she was. After she made sure he gone, she reached down under her bed and pulled out a blanket and put it on her bed. She unfolded the blanket and pull out the golden fan she just sent Wei Wuxian to get. "I thought you forgot it?" Jiang  Cheng said leaning against the door frame. "A-Cheng, don't you see? He certainly has feelings for the Hanguang-jun. You could tell" Jiang Yanli said fanning herself staring off to where Wei Wuxian has left.

Wei Wuxian arrived at the Cloud Recesses and the two guards immediately let him in. "Thank you" he said as he walked in. He wandered around for a bit and saw the Quiet Room which is also known as Lan Wangji's room. He chuckled. "Should I pay Lan Zhan a visit?" Wei Wuxian asked himself. He made his way up the stairs to Lan Wangji's room and just walked in. "Lan Zhan?" Wei Wuxian asked as he walked into the room to find that it was empty. "Where could he be?" He asked as he walked out. 

While walking out of Lan Wangji's room, Lan Xichen saw him and greeted him. "Wei Wuxian? What a pleasant surprise, Wangji's not in his room at the moment, he should be at the library pavilion. Should I let him know that you're looking for him?" Lan Xichen asked. Wei Wuxian shook his head. "I'll give him a surprise" Wei Wuxian said. Lan Xichen smiled and nodded. "Perhaps you could cheer him up, he's been pretty down lately" Lan Xichen said as Wei Wuxian nodded. "You can count on me, I'll try my best" Wei Wuxian gave him a salute and ran off. 

Wei Wuxian took a peek in the library pavilion and indeed he was inside writing. It seemed like he purposely tried to distract himself as he was just rewriting random phrases from books. The moment Wei Wuxian saw him, he felt the feelings that he was feeling inside just explode. He felt like he had to tell him no matter what. Instead of walking inside he went to the back towards the back mountain and took out a brush and some ink he took from Lan Wangji's room. The moment he sat down, a bunch of rabbits sat around him hoping to be pat on the head. He patted a few of them and began writing. 

Wei Wuxian poured his heart into writing the letter as he folded the letter and addressed it to Lan Wangji. He held it to his chest and took a deep breath "Now, it's time to give it to him" Wei Wuxian tried to get up but the little rabbits sitting on his lap wouldn't let him. "Ah, little rabbits, please let me get up" Wei Wuxian pleaded. The rabbits didn't listen as they just went just continued to lie on Wei Wuxian enjoying his warmth. He sighed. "Alright, alright. I'll stay for a little while" Wei Wuxian said as he leaned against the tree holding the letter in his hand falling asleep to the warm bundles of joy in his lap.

Lan Wangji who was in his way to feed the rabbits stopped on his tracks to see Wei Wuxian asleep with the rabbits on his lap. The sight warmed his heart as he walked over. He saw the letter that Wei Wuxian was holding a letter addressed to him. Lan Wangji picked up the letter and read it out loud. 

Dear Lan Zhan,

It's your most favourite friend. Wei Wuxian, I recently came to the conclusion that I really really love you and that I don't want anyone else in the world. What I wanted to see the most from you is a smile. You never smile yet I still fell for you, weird huh. This style is really mushy but I don't know what to do at the moment, I want to be near you all the time, I want to do things that couples do, like embrace you whenever I wanted and kiss you whenever I wanted. I think it's basically my fault for falling for someone who will never fall for me but I'm really determined to tell you how I feel. Hopefully you feel the same and not avoid me whenever you see afterwards. 

The boy who has a crush on you, Wei Wuxian.

Lan Wangji was stunned, the boy in front of him actually had a crush on him. Obviously he liked him back. No scratch that, he loved this boy. A lot. He moved close to Wei Wuxian and covered his eyes pushing him back more against the tree as he kissed him. Wei Wuxian panicked and tried to push the person away. "Let go! I already like someone else!" Wei Wuxian said pushing the other away so he could look at them in the face.

"L-Lan Zhan? Did you just?" Wei Wuxian was awestruck. "I read your letter" Lan Wangji said holding up the letter. "S-so does that mean?" Wei Wuxian asked. "mhm" Lan Wangji said as he gave him a smile. Wei Wuxian's jaw dropped. "You smiled!" Wei Wuxian said. Lan Wangji just embraced him in a hug and planted a couple of kisses on top of his head. Those innocent kisses quickly turning into something not so innocent. "Lan Zhan, we're in public!" Wei Wuxian said pushing him back. "Let's continue this later, alright?" Wei Wuxian said. Lan Wangji just sighed and composed himself again. 

Wei Wuxian pecked his cheek and smiled. "Your brother said you've been feeling down lately, everything alright?" Wei Wuxian asked. "It's fine now" Lan Wangji said. "Oh right, the fan, Lan Zhan have you seen my sisters fan?" Wei Wuxian asked. Lan Wangji kept walking. "I returned her fan a few days ago" Lan Wangji said. "The golden one I'm assuming" Lan Wangji said. "Yeah! That one, my sister set me up!" Wei Wuxian said. "But not that I minded" Wei Wuxian said happily.
