it was the night of prom and Amelia was at my house getting ready with me in my room.
"this is going to be so great! possibly the night of our lives!" Amelia said. I knew it was going to be.
"girls! the boys are here!" my mom called from down stairs. and Amelia and I looked at each other excitedly for a moment before rushing down stairs to see my mom and dad talking to Patrick and Andy by the front door.
"what red hair you have." my mom told Andy.
"thanks" he said shyly.
"Patrick, I have to thank you for the records, they must have cost a lot. I have to repay you." my dad said taking out his wallet.
"no, no sir. you don't need to, they were a gift" Patrick assured him then Patrick's eyes wandered over to Amelia and I standing at the bottom of the stairs.
"you girls look so nice." Patrick said.
"there they are" my mom said turning around revealing a camera in her hands, great. "let's all go out on the lawn for some pictures? my mom asked. I smiled at Patrick, he looked great in his red and black suit, he was also wearing chucks and Andy was dressed about the same.
my mom took a few pictures of the four of us.
"come on guys!" I herd a yell from the window of a limousine I had just noticed parked right in front of my house.
"who's your loud mouthed friend?" my father asked Andy and Patrick.
"that would be Joe." I laughed.
"you herd the man!" a different voice yelled out the window.
"and that word be Pete." Patrick said.
"they should come on over here for pictures." my mom suggested.
"hey guys get out here for some pictures!" Patrick yelled to them.
"you boys are loud." my mom laughed.
"glad we didn't have one." my father said making me laugh. we all posed for pictures now and Pete and Joe acted like they were a couple in front of my parents, I think they actually believed it too.
"bye mom, by dad" I said giving them a hug.
"you kids have fun!" my mom called after us.
"not too much fun!" my dad said not joking.

we walked into prom like we were the coolest kids in school. I felt awesome everyone seemed so friendly. the guys had to take off quickly so they could get ready to perform so Amelia and I socialized and got close to the stage. there were people everywhere in brightly colored dresses and tuxes. our principal came on stage making Amelia and I squeal for joy out of excitement.
"I'd like to welcome to the stage Glenview's very own talented band Fall Out Boy!" he said and the guys came out on the stage.
" hey boys and girls! welcome to Glenview High school's 2002 prom! we are fall out boy and this song is Saturday!" Pete yelled making every one cheer. without skipping a beat they abruptly began to play. I blew a kiss to Patrick on stage who definitely saw me and smiled. Amelia and I danced with excitement.
"see that boy in the fedora, the singer?" I over herd from beside us. it came from the mouth of a tall blond who was speaking to a brunette.
" I see him." the brunette eyed Patrick on stage.
"I would love to just see what he's got under that guitar and those clothes" the blonde said.
"the bassist is pretty hot too." the brunette said seductively. I looked at Amelia.
