Chapter 14

~flashback continued~

"Im James." I said and shook her hand gently.
"I know, I really like Busted... And McBusted... And Son of Dork." She said with a shy giggle that made me smile.
We looked at each other in silence for a few precious seconds then Danny broke it up "so are we gonna play rounders or not?"
I clapped my hands sharply once, don't know why it just seemed like the thing to do.
I took the bat out from the bag and kate took off her scarf as a base so Brooke took her jumper off and Danny took his cap off and we left them fairly spread out to act as make shift rounders bases. We picked team captains. Me and Harry, even though harry is so much better at sports than I am.
"Okay I'll pick first" said harry and everyone looked up at him pleadingly wanting to be on the team that everyone would assume to win.
"Danny" Harry announced and Danny proudly came forward.

I looked about "Tom" I said without much of a second thought.

"Dougie" and Dougie joined Harry's team which was looking pretty strong.

"Matt." Matt came forward and all the girls were left. They looked about at each other then at us.

No one really said anything but the expressions were priceless.

"Kate." Harry said and Kate teasingly rolled her eyes at Harry.

I looked about for a split second. I don't have a clear choice left out of the girls but the word "Anya" slipped out of my mouth. And Anya came towards me.
It felt like the right thing to say. And out of the corner of my eye I saw Dougie staring.

After the teams were picked it was kinda clear who the winning team would be. Their team was Harry, Danny, Dougie, kate, Brooke and Billie

And our team was Me, Tom, Anya, Matt and Freddie.

After three matches, they won two out of three. But that's okay because it was fun.
We sat around taking in the sunset and before we knew it, it started raining.

"Crap! Guys it's raining." Announced Brooke.

"You girls want to go back to the hotel?" Freddie asked and all the girls agreed.

Kate came over and gave harry a kiss "seeya tomorrow sweetie" and the others did the same.

"Kay lemme go get my shoes back on" Anya said and ran towards some bit of the beach.

"Yeah guys. Where are my shoes?" She said with a quizzical smile.

"Dunno" most of us chorused.

"Okay well I'll catch up with you guys! The hotel isn't far, with shoes or without." She told the girls and they took off.

"I'll help you look" I said and walked towards her. The rain was getting heavier. Danny put his hat back on.

"James, we'll see you back at your place, yeah?" Danny called.

"Sure." I smiled and they began to walk away. Dougie slower than the rest, pearing back at us every now and then.

I turned to Anya who was getting soaked.
"So errr where'd you leave them?" I asked knowing it was a stupid question.

"Somewhere near that rock." She said pointing towards a big huge bundle of rocks piling up towards the ocean.

"Well, that's a good start." I replied and we made out way towards the mini mountain range...

We got to the rocks and were laughing and talking. I noticed she was tripping, i was further ahead so I turned around and held my hand out for her.

Then there was the moment that I still remember and will forever.

She looked up from the rocks and spotted my hand. She glanced up at my face and she looked right into my eyes, i looked straight back into hers and for a few seconds it was like magic. She smiled at me and took my hand.

I pulled her up to the top of the pile of rocks and we stood and looked into the ocean that was being splattered with huge raindrops hitting its surface. The waves were getting far bigger. I turned to Anya, her hair had gone darker and curlier in the rain and right at that moment all I wanted to do was kiss her. I focused on her trying to follow the gaze of her eyes.

"Anya?" I managed to say over the pouring noise of the rain.

"I see my shoes." She replied

"Great lets get them!" but inside I was disappointed. I just needed more time with her. And the shoes were the whole reason We were here.

She didn't reply. She just points into the distance.

I scrunched up my eyes and saw little objects floating fairly close to each other in the sea.

At the same point we burst into laughter.
Her shoes had floated away.

When we finally caught our breathes the rain was only getting heavier.
We had spent most of the day together and I felt like we had gotten really close but I still needed more time.

She looked at me " I guess I'd better get back to the hotel then."

At this point the first but of lightning struck and lit up her face

"What? In this weather? Without shoes?"

She looked down at her feet which were starting to get cut by the rocks.

"Come back to mine? We'll get you to the hotel tomorrow." I looked at her with anticipation.

"You sure?" Her teeth rattled from the coldness.

"Of coarse." I replied.

She smiled and we started making our way down the rocks. Her feet looked as if they were in agony.

We got to the bottom of the rocks. Something came over me. I swept her off her bruised feet and lifted her up.

"What are you doing" she laughed, no longer having to yell over the rain due to how close our faces were.

"I'm carrying you. I thought that was obvious?" I joked

"Where to ma'am?" I referenced titanic in my best jack accent. I have quite the nack for accents.

" to the stars." She replied enhancing a very very British accent. She obviously knew what I meant.

I laughed. In titanic after they say that it's the sex scene... I just carried her along the beach and up the concrete stairs.

When we got to the entrance of my house I kicked the door open, noticing they hadn't locked it, waiting for my arrival.

I marched in, still holding Anya. At this very moment, Danny walked out of the kitchen with a smoothie.

"Well would you look at Mr and Mrs Bourne! Congratulations!" He practically yelled.
I looked down at Anya and she looked up at me realising we looked like a newly wed couple.
