Chapter 3
"She has resigned, Mr Loyd" The assistant hesitated.
"Well, can't anyone do their God damn job properly? All I need is the fücking progress report for our hotel management in Shanghai and nobody can give that to me? What do I pay you guys for? I've asked for it since yesterday!" Ethan yelled as his day went from bad to worst. He had forgotten that the brunette vixen, Audrey, had resigned a few days ago. He was used to have Audrey dealing with minor details and controlling possible upcoming problems. Furthermore, he liked having her around as she knows how to handle situation like this. She can prepare all the necessary documents before the meeting starts, she can somehow make the usually boring routine more intriguing with her saucy remarks. She's very buoyant and in a way brings positive energy into the meeting. The new managing director was nowhere near as sharp as Audrey.
"Get out all of you, and I better see the report on my desk by noon today!" Ethan exclaimed. The other staffs scampered their way out of his office afraid that they might get another yelling knowing that his mood was dreadful since the moment he stepped into the Loyd's building.
He tried to continue on his work when his cell phone rang.
"What do you want, Lochmann?" Ethan scowled.
"Someone's not in a good mood. You need some love to chill out that anger, bro." Zach Lochmann stated.
"I don't have time for this so what do you want."
"Damn, can't I just call my favourite cousin to know how he's doing?"
"Yeah, you did that every time you need something from me. So let me ask you one last time before I'm going to hang up. What do you want!" Ethan started to lose his patience.
"Alright, alright. You got me. I need help with the Russell corporation deal, E. You know how my dad has been on my back lately. He's so uptight, especially dealing with this Russell company." He explained.
"Yeah, you should be careful with him. Pay more attention to the clauses in the contract as he seemed to have tricked one of my business partner, with the default contract and guess what? He lost 4 million dollars within that week."
"Damn. He's a cunning bastard, isn't he? See, that is why I need you E. Help your dear cousin here, will you?" Zach pleaded sounding desperate.
"Fine, schedule a meeting with my assistant and let me know the time and day, alright." He ended the call to his favourite cousin.
Zach Lochmann was Ethan's cousin and his one and only close friend who truly understood him. He understood his unpredictable temperament and behaviour as he had dealt with him since young. Ethan was not the easiest person to get along with. He can be arrogant and rude at times, yet aside from those façade, Zach knew that Ethan was a great person who was always willing to help him no matter the consequence. However, not everyone has the opportunity to see the better side of Ethan, they usually get the ever scowling side of Ethan.
