Epilogue
"Wow, I can't belief you're really going to Paris! Gosh how much more romantic can he be?" Ava said looking at Audrey who was getting her coat ready.
"Yeah, I can't even belief that I said yes. I hope we can move forward after he told me about his past. I don't know what to expect from this, though. I don't even know if his dad approve of us. Oh please don't forget to give this to my mom when she dropped by. She needed this for her vacation to Hawaii. Can't believe that we're leaving around the same time! Are you going to be alright alone here? Will Chris be coming over? I don't-" Audrey responded.
"Audrey! Breathe! I'll be fine. Yes, maybe Chris will come over once in a while. Yes, I will give this to your mom when she dropped by. And yes, you will enjoy this trip, you both needed this after all you both went through, it's like opening a present layer by layer, eventually you will get your present as long as you both stay true to each other and be honest. Though, I still think that I need to have a talk with him before you leave. Anyway, have fun, don't think too much. Enjoy your time! When do we get another chance like this? It's like winning a lottery! Oh well, maybe you'll get your chances again... Promise to bring your best friend the next time he asked you to go overseas again?" Ava pointed out hugging her housemate one last time as the doorbell rang. They went to the door to see Ethan's driver standing outside her house with a wide grin on his face.
"Good morning, Miss Bouquet, Miss Lee, It's a wonderful day today, isn't it?" The driver who had worked for Ethan since he was young greeted them politely.
"Yes, Mr Buckley, I can see that through your wide smile there." Ava replied looking strangely at him.
"I should be honest with you, Miss Ava and Miss Bouquet, Mr Loyd has never asked any woman to his trip before, so you must be very special to him and I am grateful that you came into his life, Miss Bouquet." He showed his genuine smile towards Audrey as he took her luggage and directed her to the car and they walked towards Ethan who was holding onto his phone by the car together after hugging Ava one last time.
"Yes, father. Mr Gene had signed the contract yesterday and it's final, we can proceed with the Pullman takeover. Yes, alright. I am taking her with me. I know and she's different, father. Alright, we'll set a dinner altogether with her and Lana, she will be coming back to New York around next week. Alright father." Ethan ended the call to his father just in time as Audrey reached to hug him and they entered the car together. They drove to the airport and were escorted to a huge black private jet which she assumed was their flight. She stepped inside his private jet, after she gawked in awe for a few moment before entering and taking in the concept of luxury into the next level. The stewardess showed them to their seat and gave them a fresh towel and glasses of champagne. She was not afraid of flying but she was exhilarated to be flying in a private jet and arriving in Paris in seven hours.
"Are you ready for this trip? I will be having a few meeting once we landed and after that I'm all yours, Miss chef." He said holding onto her hands, bringing it to his chin giving it a kiss.
"Alright, I'm all yours too, Mr Loyd." She teased taking out her book once the plane took off. The flight went by quickly as she almost finished reading more than half the book that she brought while Ethan was busy working on his computer. Once landed, they were picked up by a black Rolls Royce Phantom and were dropped at Loyd's Hotel Paris.
"Another fancy car, even in Paris, obviously you don't use it often!" She pointed out glaring at him who was still busy holding his phone. After a few minutes they arrived at the hotel while he excused himself for a meeting and reminded her that he will pick her up again for dinner.
I can't believe I'm in Paris! With Ethan!
She pinched herself looking out the window to see the amazing view of the Eiffel tower from her grand hotel suite. She looked at the amazing view drowning her thought of how her grandmother told her stories of her hometown and her love stories with grandpa here in the romantic city of Paris, and she is here now with Ethan. She made herself comfortable and rest until it was time to get ready for the romantic dinner.
Ethan rang the bell and she opened the door to see Ethan who looked handsome as always in his fitted black suit and white shirt with a few buttons opened as usual, his hair brushed to the back leaving a few strand of hair falls on his gorgeous face making him looked even more sexy. He held out a bouquet of peonies and gave it to her.
"Wow! I got a bouquet today? Must be a special occasions, huh? Should I be expecting a bouquet of flowers for all our upcoming date now?" She took the flowers and placed it in front of her taking in the lovely scent of the flowers.
"Perhaps, you deserve much more than you realized, Audrey." He held out another box in front of her.
"What is this, Ethan?" She asked placing the bouquet of flowers on the table beside her and took the box uncertainly. She slowly pulled out the silver ribbon and opened the box. She gasped and held out the box towards him.
"I can't accept this Ethan. I don't need this."
He took the glistening huge diamond flower choker out from the box. Gently lifted her hair to the side and placed the choker on her neck.
"I am still giving this to you and you looked ravishing, Audrey Bouquet." He stood inches away from her looking at her glowing face.
"Je vais te réconforer pour que que vous ne vous sentirez pas seul, je te tiendrai toujours les mains, laisse moi prendre soin de toi, Audrey. Je t'aime tellement."
(I will comfort you so you won't ever feel lonely, I will forever hold your hands, let me take care of you, Audrey. I love you so much.)
"You knew what I said to Mamie. Je t'aimme tellement, Ethan." She tipped herself reaching for his lips and they kissed the night away.
