SEVENTEEN

After eating, we spend the night watching 'Stranger Things' on Netflix. I laid my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around him. Nakaupo kasi kami sa sahig.

I suddenly yawned. I felt sleepy. I was just pretending na ineenjoy ko ang pinapanood namin pero mukhang hindi ko na malabanan ang antok ko. Siya lang ang literal na nag-eenjoy sa pinapanood namin.

He lifted my chin and looked at me. "Gusto mo na ba matulog?"

Umiling ako. "Okay lang, love. Tapusin nalang muna natin 'yan. Nag-eenjoy ka pa eh."

Inabot niya ang remote na nasa gilid niya saka pinatay ang TV. Umayos naman ako ng pagkakaupo.

"It's okay, love. Mas importante ka pa din kesa sa pinapanood natin. If you want to sleep, then matulog na tayo." He said and smiled at me.

I nodded at him and we went upstairs.

Pagpasok namin sa kwarto ay agad naman kaming nahiga. Ipinatong ko ang aking ulo sa kanyang dibdib, dahilan para marinig ko ang tibok ng puso niya.

"Love." I uttered.

"Hmm?" He answered habang hinahaplos haplos ang aking buhok.

Inangat ko ang aking ulo para makita ko ang mukha niya. I gave him a peck on the lips. "I love you."

He smiled and pinched my nose. "I love you, too pabo."

Kinurot ko naman siya sa tagiliran. "Yah. I'm not an idiot, you chubby bunny."

"Chubby bunny? I'm not chubby." He said as his eyes furrowed.

I chuckled. Ipinatong ko na ulit ang aking ulo sa dibdib niya at mahigpit siyang niyakap.

"I'll be missing you, love." He uttered.

Hindi ko namalayang naiyak na pala ako. "It's just only a month, love." I answered as I wiped my tears from falling.

He lifted my chin and stared at me. "Hey, why are you crying?"

Bumangon ako mula sa pagkakahiga at ganon din siya. He cupped my face.

"Aigoo~ don't cry. Pumapangit ka lalo."

Pinalo ko naman ang kanyang braso. Napa-aray lamang siya habang natatawa.

He then kissed my forehead. "Don't cry, okay? Ikaw na nga 'tong nagsabing isang buwan lang naman yun eh. Tapos iiyak iyak ka. You okay, sis?"

Natawa naman ako sa sinabi niya sa dulo. "Sis na pala ako sayo ngayon?"

"Joke lang." He said as he ruffled my hair. I protested. Ayokong ginugulo ang buhok ko eh. Baliw talaga.

"I'll sing you a song para makatulog ka agad." He said and then winked at me.

Humiga ulit kami at kung ano ang posisyon ko kanina, ay ganon pa din hanggang ngayon. Mas kumportable ako matulog kapag naririnig ko ang tibok ng puso ni Timothy. Kaya nakasanayan ko na laging pinapatong ko ang ulo ko sa dibdib niya.

"Teka, what song do you like?" He asked me as he caressed my hair.

I shrugged. "Rock. Para lalo akong di makatulog." I answered sarcastically.

"Pilosopong Athena Jophiel." He uttered.

I laughed. "Kidding."

"Sige na. Close your eyes na." Pag-utos niya sa akin at agad ko naman iyong sinunod.

"Love, always remember that I have completely fallen for you every single day." He suddenly said. Akala ko ay kakanta na siya. "Everything you do, everything you say. I am so damn whipped at you, you know."

I secretly smiled. Pinipigilan ko ang mga nagbabadyang luha sa aking mga mata.

"I love you, Jophiel. I really do." His voice suddenly cracked. He's crying. Hindi ko na napigilan pa at napaiyak na din ako. Lalo kong hinigpitan ang pagkakayakap sa kanya. "You are my first thought in the morning, and my last thought before I fall asleep. And you're almost every thought in between."

He sniffed and sighed. "Kakanta na nga ako. Jusko ka, Timothy Jeon. Nagawa mo pang mag-emote hah. Akala mo talaga 100 years kayong di magkikita ng girlfriend mo eh." Sabi niya sa kanyang sarili.

He cleared his throat and started to sing.

His voice is so wonderful. Nakakakalma sa pakiramdam kapag naririnig mo siyang kumakanta. And that's what I'm feeling right now. At favorite song ko pa ang kinakanta niya.
