Max felt guilty. He don't wanted to say all those things and he knew that he had hurt his family with the words but he couldn't take them back anymore. He believed in his brother and trusted him even when Eva wasn't his favorite person on the planet. Max knew that his aggressive reaction had a different source. It was about the night at the club and about what had happened. After what had happened with that wolf he felt dirty and he didn't knew how to get rid of it but he was to proud to tell it someone. It was enough that Aaron knew about it and then Max shivered when he felt a strong hand on his shoulder but he relaxed when he heard the soft and deep voice behind him.

He turned around and in front of himstood Aaron:" Hay, Max wait. What was that? I know that we don't know each other for a long time but I know that you didn't meant it like that. I know you would never hurt your family like that..." Max didn't knew what to say. He didn't knew how but this boy could see through Max' mask and he could bring Max to wear it off without thinking. Aaron' eyes got wide when he saw that Max' eyes were filled with tears and his gentle face full with guilt and sadness. At this moment Max was so vulnerable and it seemed like when anything bad would touch his soul he would break and then suddenly the tears rolled down Max' cheeks.

Max looked at the ground and hoped that Aaron wouldn't see them but Aaron hold up his hand and stroke the tears softly away with his thump:" Please tell me what's wrong

Max looked at the ground and hoped that Aaron wouldn't see them but Aaron hold up his hand and stroke the tears softly away with his thump:" Please tell me what's wrong." But Max didn't answered:" Please don't do that...I...I can't see you like that..." "Why?" Max' voice was barely audible:"What?" "Why?" Now Max looked at Aaron again and you could see all the fear and anger in Max' face. Max pushed Aaron' hand away:" Why do you care about me!? You don't know me!" "But I know what had happened." Immediately Max knew what he meant:" I told you to forget about it! Don't interfere with my life!"

And without saying another word Max left and he ignored Aarons hurt expression. Max didn't knew where to go. He couldn't go home. He was ashamed and couldn't look his parents in the face because he knew how disappointed and sad they were, especially Alec. Max walked through the Institute without a destination until he stood in front of a thick dark wooden door. At first Max hesitated but then he knocked at the door and it didn't took long until someone opened it:" Max..."Jace stood there and you could see the hurt in his face.

Because of his Parabatai rune he could clearly feel what Alec felt and they mirrored in Jace but he would never sent Max away. The only thing Jace saw right now was a hurt and sad boy who made a mistake and who was alone. Jace knew that feeling too well. Max looked at the ground and didn't dared to look his uncle in the face. No one said something but it wasn't needed until Jace broke the silence:" Do you want to come in?" Max just nodded and went inside. Max didn't said a word and his whole body was tense. When Jace noticed his movements he sighed:" I think you don't want to go home tonight?" Max shook his head:" Okay, so I go over to Clary. It's late and if you want you can sleep here." Jace grabbed his jacket:"Thank you..." Max' voice was barely audible.

Jace wanted to go when he turned around a little bit:" Max, I don't want to say that that what you said was right but...Alec and Magnus love both of you with all they have. You and your brother mean the world to them. So, no matter what is wrong with you right now and what the matter is why you are how you are they will forgive you. Everything will be good, believe me." And then Jace left. Max tried to forget what Jace had said and laid down on the bed. He laid his arms behind his head and starred at the ceiling.
