MALEC Lightwood-Bane Family ( BOOK 1 )

Chapter 9

 Max opened the door. He was very afraid and wanted to go away again but then he thought about the things Aaron had said. He took a deep breath in and out and then he went inside. Everything was silent. When Max reached the living room he stopped in his movements and stood still. On the sofa laid Magnus and was asleep. Max could clearly see how exhausted Magnus was. Since the day Max hadn't came home they hadn't spoken with each other. They just saw each other at the Institute sometimes but shared just a short look. Max wanted nothing more than hug his father tightly.

 Even when Magnus was asleep Max could see how worried he was and all that was his fault. Max felt how tears formed in his eyes and he wipped them away with his hand before they cold glide down his cheeks. Suddenly he felt how someone stood behind him:" He sleeps here since the day you didn't came home. He is waiting here every night for you to come home." Max jumped slightly when he heard Alec' voice but he couldn't hear anger in it. Slowly Max turned around and looked his dad into the eyes. Immediately Max' tears were back and his body began to shiver:"I'm...I'm so...so sorry, Dad..."

 Max began to cry because he couldn't hold his tears back anymore:"Really, I don't wanted that...to happen. I'm-" But Max couldn't finish his words because Alec ran over to him and hugged him tightly. Alec don't wanted Max to let go. Finally his son was back, his blue angel. Max hugged him back more tightly and buried his face in Alec' chest. Alec could hear his whimpers and cry and he stroke with his free hand through Max' dark hair to calm him down again like he did when Max was little:"M...Max?"

 Max' whole body stiffened when he heard Magnus' voice. Max could hear how sad and broken his father was. Max turned around and still his tears rolled down:"Papa..." But Max don't needed to say more because Magnus hugged him, too. He hugged him so tight because he feared that his Maxi would disappear again. You could just hear Max' crying. It broke Alec' and Magnus' heart when they saw their son like that. Then both exchanged worried looks and suddenly Max let go of Magnus. Immediately Magnus wanted to hold his son again but Max went a few steps away from his father. Max looked at the ground and his voice was barely audible and trembled:" I...I need to tell you something..." Alec and Magnus understood that it must be very important:" Okay, should we sit down?" Alec asked carefully and Max nodded. Magnus and Alec sat down on the sofa and Max on the opposite of them on the armchair. 

Max seemed so small and out of energy when he sat there. Everything was silent again and it was like you could grab the air so thick it was. Alec cleared his throat when he saw that it was hard for Max to tell them what he wanted to say:" Max, no matter what you want to tell us we will listen to you and...and we are by your side so please...please tell us what's wrong." Max took a deep breath in and out. When he looked at his parents he saw how Magnus held Alec' hand and pressed it tightly. 

The two pairs of eyes never left Max:" The things I had said I didn't...meant them. It wasn't because of Rafael...or you...or something like that. It was...I was just so, so...angry..." Alec was a little bit relieved that Max didn't meant it but now he was just more worried:" Why were you angry?" Max looked at the ground again:" I AM angry at...me..." Magnus and Alec raised their eyebrows and were shocked:" W...why?" Magnus asked:" What happened?" Max hesitated. Magnus let go of Alec' hand and walked over to Max. He kneeled down in front of him and grabbed Max' hands:" My little Blueberry, don't be afraid. Tell us what happened."   

 " A...a few weeks ago I visited a Downworlder Club. Before you say anything I know I shouldn't had gone there but...but I just wanted to have a little bit fun. I swear I haven't thought about it. I...I drank a little bit. I SWEAR just a little bit but suddenly I felt not so well...I just wanted to go home. I felt so, so dizzy and ill that I couldn't open a portal and I wanted to walk but then..."

Max needed to take a deep breath in and out again and Magnus gently stroke over Max' blue soft skin with his thump:" Suddenly there...there was someone, a Werewolf. I saw him earlier that night inside the club. He wanted to dance with me and...such things. I said no to him. We were in that dark alley and suddenly he grabbed my arm harshly and I told him to let me go and that I want to go but he... didn't listened." Alec balled his hands to fists and he was full of anger because of the wolf. Max' eyes were full of tears again and they rolled down his cheeks:" Suddenly he...he kissed me roughly. I tried to push him away but I...I had no chance. I said no again and again but he didn't stopped."
