"Lilith?" Ignoring him I gently touched the wired collar around my neck not understanding it but thankful it worked. One thing on top another... They keep coming. Sighing deeply I looked at Dyeth who was unmoving from his spot.
"It's fine," I muttered, continuing. He hesitantly followed, taking the lead against when he deemed it wasn't going to go off again. Falling into my thoughts I followed him, trying to rearrange what just happened. Why'd she tell me that? Why'd she give me those? What'd she mean when she said moved out?
"Lilith!" Looking up at him I found we were at the end, another pair already there. "Hurry up we have to-" Humming I put my hand on the wall behind me, a blue circle burning into it as I fell back into thought. He looked between me and the finished circle before putting the ingredients in the center, which I carved out a bit so it was possible.
It flashed, whatever we needed being complete while he took it and my wrist, forcing me to move faster. Sprinting out he said something while he held up whatever we made. They aren't as kind as you think. They're gods. They made us. Why wouldn't they-
I got a heavy hit to the back while I looked at him with a glare, which he returned. "Pay attention." He growled while I bared my teeth with a snarl, earning a scowl. Paying attention any way I crossed my arms not getting why it mattered, we already completed it.
"Fast and finely made, but does it work?" Edward asked in the middle of the principals, leaning back in his chair as he stared down at us. Expectingly. Glancing at what we made I found two thick metal cuff with Occeanbic carved into it. What was it?
Taking them from him I read them swiftly before looking at him, having not paid attention to what we were supposed to make. 'Shackles,' He mouthed while I nodded offering them back knowing he was not up for putting them on. I see his confidence in the separated cuffs working is high to ask such a thing without a hint of hesitation.
Sliding them on me he jumped back, nothing happening while the cocky elite leaned forward in his chair, putting his hand up to stop the shout about to leave another's mouth. "Lilith?" He questioned while my tail flicked behind me, his new attitude irritating. Pulling a smile, words burning into the ground in front of Dyeth, I moved around while he silently read it.
"Completely mobile, the only restraint is the lightweight they hold, however, when the proper command is given-" Looking at Dyeth, who read aloud what I had sounded out for him in the common tongue I clenched my jaw, red hot chains coming up to lock onto it while the words burned the same red.
"One is completely subdued, no matter strength or magic, completely pick proof, and-" Hissing as I pulled against them, they quickly pulled tighter, my knees slamming into the ground while my ears swiveled back more chains latching onto them. "The more you struggle the worse it gets,"
Grumbling as he said the release chant I got back up, rubbing my wrist under them. "And of course, only the person that put them on can take them off, the command only working for them as well," I added as he pulled them off. My grip immediately going to them as I pulled a tight smile, rubbing them gently.
"A binding spell?" One asked while I glanced at her, witchcraft. She was one of witchcraft.
"Not quite," I smiled as my eyes drifted shut. "It is simple alchemy with a bit of sorcery, anyone can do it really," That is a lie. I don't even know what circle I used to do it, my body moved on its own.
"What's on them?" Another asked while I didn't say anything, having given Dyeth instructions beforehand knowing such questions were to be asked.
"The commands are written on it in the ancient language," He answered while I gave my wrists my full attention, a frown on my face as they throbbed wildly, fire running up my arms.
"And you read them?" He glanced at me from the corner of his eye, falling silent as he mimicked the perfectly plastic smile I had the moment the question was said. My thumb running circles around the symbols burned in my skin.
"Anyone can make it huh?" My smile shifting as my head tilted gently. He was used to when I fell professional. Silence was an answer he knew well. "You're first in the speed portion of the round, we'll see just how craftsmanship goes,"
Placing them on the table we moved to sit down, my thoughts drifting back to Vixen while my thumb circled the new marks on my wrists.
