So, like, I don't know if I told you guys, gals, and nonbinary pals but this was supposed to be done(the reboot) by summer but due to some severe issues on my part that does not look likely. At all.And before you go on a spew about the whole coronavirus or the dengue fever or even the locust plague be aware I don't leave my house to begin with so this is not something that hinders me in any way.
I'm just having some personal issues so I haven't been able to get around to it. Having said the reboot project has been placed on hold. No idea when I'll pick it back up, I haven't even been updating my other stories so... Whatever I have no one to blame but myself.
I can multitask like no other but at the same time I would much rather be doing nothing and my brain doesn't like to listen when I tell it I have had enough of nothing and need to do things.
Y'all get to suffer with me. How will you be suffering you ask? Well if waiting is something you are capable of then go you. I'm about to ruin your fucking day with goddamn spoilers(ish?)
Adrian is introduced first out of the side characters and instead of a human I made him a drow. I didn't want to get rid of his darker complexion but having so many humans running around in a fantasy world seemed like a waste. And like who said you gotta pure blood your characters? 🤘
He's still a chill bean but I ended up making him a lot lazier than he is in this one and his view on rules drifted farther than originally planned. And he teases her a shit ton more.
Alex pops up next, with some much needed common sense, but instead of the tall tan brute, we get a fucking orc. I-... I can't even remember why I changed him into an orc but I think I was just interested in drawing orcs so I just did it with no other thought but at the same time like ??? No idea.
He also didn't change all that much beyond species, still nice but even nicer. Far more gentle, a giant teddy bear who doesn't bring as much common sense and he is the impulse control they need like here but far more needed. Still definitely the voice of reason though, and though less impulse control for the others 100% Lilith's. Just a big soft boy who gives great hugs and will also cut people in half with a single swing of his sword.
... Jake... Boy did he change. He was a ball of anxiety and Bro™ but... I ended up making him an angry bean... I had ended up thinking about how he couldn't give orders to save his life and ended up making a stereotypical lead in his place.
Obviously, I didn't completely wipe away his major worrying just dialed it back. And gave him some more salt. A lot of salt actually. Like damn I'm looking at these two(Lilith and Jake) and like they have enough salt to make the dead sea gag. Oh and like he's a faun. I have no excuse and also fuck you.
Our leading lady Lilith also underwent some changes. I took into the rationality of some of her stunts and boy... She needs a shit ton more scars than I gave her. So obviously I gave her some and you get to guess what and where but she's otherwise still human(merger?). I did end up changing the common name of merger though. And gave it a story.
Other than her new arsenal of scars her personality. Oh yes, the inconsistent and overly flexible personality of hers. I... Won't tell you about it other than she's a lot sassier than I meant her to be.
(I also ended up giving people actual character depth and not just mentions that go literally nowhere)
Plus, we get two new mystery characters! Yay. Because five is better than three. The first chapters are still boring though, little mentioning of other characters, as she just gets a feel for her new environment.
Anyway, hope you drive yourself insane thinking about how they will interact with each other. Later my lazies and lethargics~
