"everything will be okay, jiminie," taehyung promised, holding jimin in his arms as he kissed away the older's tears.

"i hope so.." jimin sniffled, his arms wrapped tightly around his best friend's waist. 

 taehyung and jungkook had agreed to come over to jimin's house to comfort him after he had called. though it wasn't jimin's ideal way of meeting taehyung's boyfriend for the first time.

"it's their loss if they didn't like you anyway," jungkook spoke calmly. "you seem like a great guy." 

"yeah! maybe you should just date me and Jungkook," taehyung bantered in an attempt to cheer up his friend. 

"pft, that's a good idea," jimin smiled slightly as he wiped at his teary eyes.

"i'm good with that," jungkook shrugged.

"have a good day at work, babe." jungkook smiled, pecking taehyung on the lips.

jimin whined at the two, missing the kisses he used to get from yoongi and hoseok.

after jungkook had left, the two other boys made their way inside the small coffee shop. 

"jimin!" namjoon called out as he saw the said boy enter the shop. 

"hello, namjoon," jimin waved sheepishly as he made his way over to the older. 

"yoongi told me what happened yesterday," namjoon spoke in a half-whisper. 

"o-oh? he did..?" jimin stuttered, turning his gaze to the tile floor.

"he did. is everything okay?"

"yeah... everything's fine," jimin forced a smile.

"y'know you can talk to me about these kinds of things? only if you want to, of course. i gave you my number, remember? you never texted me," namjoon frowned.

"ah.. sorry, i forgot," the smaller boy apologized.

"it's fine," the elder beamed, patting jimin on the shoulder. 

"anyways... now that you're single.. how about a date?" namjoon asked nervously.

"a w-what?" jimin squeaked, taken back a bit.

"you know... to lift your spirits." 

"i don't know... i just had a breakup and i-"

"c'mon! it'll be fun!" namjoon interrupted.

"hm... i guess if you really want to." jimin agreed hesitantly.

"great! friday after work?" namjoon grinned from ear to ear.

"sounds good.." the younger nodded.

the sound of a bell ringing was heard throughout the cafe, signaling a customer had walked in.

"ah! welcome! how may I help you?" namjoon beamed, making his way over to the front counter.

"what was that?" taehyung asked as he appeared out of nowhere behind Jimin, making the elder jump, referring to his best friend's previous conversation with Namjoon. 

"eh... it was nothing," jimin mumbled.

"no it wasn't! don't lie to me," the younger pouted, crossing his arms.

"it was just... work stuffs," jimin bluffed.

"hmph, okay then," taehyung sighed, returning back into the kitchen.
