Moonlight POV

"Ashton.." I began to talk

"Who are you visiting," he spoke again, quietly

"I will answer every question you ask me, but... I might take a while" I spoke softly

"Okay then. How about we start with, who are you visiting?"

"M..My parents," I said looking down

"Your what?" he asked

"Parents" I spoke louder this time

"How did they die?"

"Ice-cream, Drunk driver, Car crash" was all I could say with a tear sliding down. I could hear some movement of the ground before a hand go to my chin. Lifting my head and him running his thumb across my cheek to remove the tear that ran down.

"How many months?" he whispered

"108 months" I replied

"What?" he asked confused

"9 years."

"Ohh. How old were u?"

"8 at the time."

"So in the year 200 annnddd 4."

"Yes."

"Who was that you were with?"

"My Aunt Amy, she took me in when she was 22 at the time. She's 14 years older than me."

"So she's now 31 with kids?"

"Yeah. The twins are 7."

"How about we sit down, and you tell me actually what happened to your parents?" He asked in a low voice

He grabbed my hand before walking over to a stone bench. Sitting after he did almost touching him made me be aware of where I am. I took down the portable walking stick. No one spoke for what seemed like forever. I knew he was trying to ask if I was blind without coming out rude or deciding if he should ask now or later.

"You can ask me anything, you know?" I requested

"What happened to your parents?"

"I..I wanted ice-cream, so we went to get some. The light went green, so we went. What we didn't know was that a drunk driver was coming down the other way and slammed into my dad's side of the car, we rolled a few times until we landed on mine and my mothers side of the car. I woke up a week later. I woke up, my parents were dead at the scene, and the drunk driver is still alive. How is that possible? Please. I would love to know," I grieved into my hands, trying to contain my sob.

I could feel Ashton not know what to do; I don't think he really has been in this position before.

"It's unfair, I know" was all he replied

"If I didn't want ice-cream, then we would never have been on the road were the drunk drive smashed our car, and my parents would be here."

"You wouldn't have known that. Don't blame yourself."

He didn't have any questions, more questions that I could answer to do. We sat there for a few minutes before my phone started ringing. Taking it out to answer it, I heard my Aunt on the other side of the line saying she needed to make lunch before the boys come home, so I need to be quick.

"I need to go, do you have any other questions?" I requested

"No, no, that's fine. I'll see you around?"

"I'll see you at school if we don't talk on the phone" I respond

I stood up with my walking cane in my hand before hugging Ashton goodbye. Taking a few steps while unclipping the walking cane to use, Ashton spoke again.

"A...are you blind, is that why you have the stick?"

"Yes" I spoke quietly
