Moonlight POV

Monday

Hearing my alarm go off like that in my morning while I had a huge headache was a big mistake. Instead of getting up and showering this morning, I stayed awake until the girls came into my room. I knew it looked like I had been crying; I could feel my eyes being puffy. Once I heard the girls opening my bedroom door and take one look at me, it was obvious what they saw.

"Your Aunt called... I see why," Ava began, "You do, however... need to go to school."

I didn't say anything. I couldn't; I stayed in bed while I heard them go to my closet to pick something out.

"Put this on" I felt clothes hitting my bed

"I'm not going" I groggy spoke

"To hell you are. You have been through so much for the past 9 years; this is only a little hiccup compared to it" Ava stated

"Please leave."

"What?"

"Leave"

"Whatever" I heard the door shut before sighing. I knew I wasn't going to win the argument, it was either I go to school, or I say home and the girls not go to school. Getting up with a groan, putting on the clothes that were set out, going into my en-suite to brush my hair and teeth before putting my hair up half down. Going back into my bedroom to grab my phone, walking stick, and bag before opening the door to go downstairs.

"I'm ready" I spoke softly

"7Here are your sunglasses" My Aunt put them in my hand

"Are we ready to go?"I asked the girls

"Yep. Yeah" I felt Emma slip her hand in my hand before taking me to the car

Getting into the car to go to school was quiet. Putting my sunglasses on while plugging my headphones in to listen to music made me relax to what I was going to go through today. Making a stop in the school parking lot made my nerves rise a thousand times, getting out of the car was worse.

"I can't do it."

"Can't do what."

"Everything. I should have...." I couldn't even finish the sentence; I started balling my eyes, sliding down on the car door to the ground. I could feel eyes on me, which make it worse. Bringing my hand up to stop sobs coming out made me cry harder. Ava and Emma stood there, not knowing how to bring me out of this torture I was facing. Once the bell went, I could hear everyone starting to walk into the building.

Ashton POV

Finding out that moonlight was blind on Saturday made Sunday go forever. Pulling into the school parking lot just before the bell with the boys was something we usually do. Walking through the parking lot with no one around us felt like we were on top of the world.

"Hold on," Ben stopped us mid-talk and walk

"What are you doing?" I asked

"Do you hear that?" Everyone tried to listen to whatever Ben wanted us to listen to, that when we heard cries. Everyone looked at each other, asking without speaking If they heard it too. We all turned our heads to where the noise came from. Getting closer, it sounds like someone was seriously hurt. Dodging through cars and staying low, we could see Ava and Emma like they were stressing out so much, but they weren't crying.

"Is Moonlight crying?" Luke whispered. I shrugged my shoulders not knowing that answer. Someone was crying, and it looked like Ava and Emma not knowing what to do. Ava's hair looked like she has pushed it back so many times, and Emma was eating her nails, which she did when she was nervous.

Luke's phone dinged with a message, "It's Ava."

"Read it out then" I slapped my forehead

"Either you leave us alone to deal with Moon, or you can get Ashton over here to help us. Pick wisely"

"Sooo umm" Ben looked at me

"I..I" I wanted to help, her cries broke my heart, but I couldn't face the tears that were because of me, "I can't" I stood upright and left the boys there to stare at the back of my head as I went into the building

Ava POV

"Moonlight Please" I begged

My phone went off with a ding indicating Luke texted back. As I read it, I got mad.

"Ashton left. He said he couldn't help. He's in the building now. What happened"

I mumbled under my breath "As*hole" I couldn't take it anymore

"Emma, look after Moon. I'll be back. I need to teach someone a lesson."
