Moonlight POV
'Yes' was all I could say before walking away. I could feel Ashton's gaze in the back of my head watching me leave. Once making it into the parking lot, I heard a car door shut my Aunt's cold hand taking mine before leading me to the car. As soon as we got into the car to leave, the big question finally came out
"How did it go?" My Aunt spoke faintly
"He knows I'm blind."
"Well, took him long enough, a week in school and he didn't know you were blind."
"Boys. There pretty slow" I chuckled
"There's the smile I wanted to see."
Nothing was said after conversation until we got back home. Again, Once inside my bedroom, I called Ava to let her know what just happened.
"Hello?" She asked confused
"I need to talk to you."
"Are you feeling okay?"
"Yes. Why?"
"No reason. You don't normally ring me on this date."
"Yeah, Well I also don't go to my parent's grave and see Ashton there with my walking stick" at the end I had no breath left.
"WHAT!?"
"Yeh. He also knows I'm blind."
"Shhhh**ttt" I heard Emma voice in the background
"Monday is going to be fantastic," I joked "Everything is going to change, once again. I can't catch a break."
"If you need anything, call us" they insisted before hanging up
After a few hours of just sitting in my room, reflecting, dinner needed to be done, so why not make something. Going down the stairs into the kitchen, I could hear my Aunt and Uncle talking but stopped when I turned the corner.
"Hey, Sweetheart. How's is it going?" My Uncle started
"Can you guys help me make dinner?" I asked them
"What are we having?"
"Alfredo Pasta. The one Mum used to make" I replied
Ingredients:
Everyone was talking while we were making the Pasta that my mum used to make. The boys set the table while my Aunt was finishing designing it. It was very quiet at the table, the boys don't usually see me on this date eating or even coming out of the room. Taking a bite of the pasta, it felt like we were back at home with my Mum cooking while me and my Dad were dancing around. A few times my Mum would put down the handle and dance with us. I smiled before taking another bite.
"It's perfect" I whispered
My Aunt and uncle cleaned up the dinner while I went back into my room. I put my earplugs in and played the music my parents listened to before going to sleep.
Sunday
Nothing special happened on Sunday, just that the 5 of us watched a movie, this was my favourite movie so I knew what the characters looked like and almost the whole script, Beauty and the Beast. Before going to sleep, I was balling my eyes out trying to reason with my Aunt and Uncle to not let me go to school and day home.
"You are going to have to face him on Tuesday then. There's no point. Rip the bandage off, it hurts less," my Aunt reasoned. Instead of talking I walked to my room to cry even more.
